Probably saving a "themed" system for Uncharted 4. It's precisely what I'm waiting on, despite already owning themed PS4s.
I agree with most of that, but I wouldn't say the storytelling was poor. The story, itself, just wasn't particularly special, but it was well told. Top-notch performance capture!
About the only complaint I had with The Order was wanting more! It ended sooner than I expected, but I wanted to keep going. That's really a good thing.
With some improved game design, a sequel could be a home run. The foundation was already laid. Plus, it looked and performed like a charm!
Not bad, right? Definitely NOT the "crap" that "unbiased" people will try to spout in every subject about the game. And yes, 4/10 does make it sound like it was broken. The Order was no where close to that.
@ ninsigma: Well said!
@ Utalkin2me: He did trash it, yep. His reply is, as you'd expect, a defense. He shows a couple of posts that are positive. Still doesn't negate what you said, though!
OT: This duo leaves...
If Sony's data didn't back this up, you might have a point. Since MS won't even give numbers anymore, your stance makes no sense. Of course people would challenge the numbers if they don't coincide with reality.
I'm thinking 18-18.5m, but without solid #s from Microsoft, the guessing feels useless.
@ garret: I said nothing about last minute changes (not sure where that even comes from, since the article is talking hypothetically and years from release).
I'd advise a little more reading.
If the gamers had no say, the PS4 would be a different machine.
OT: Something powerful with plenty of exclusives.
Of course it did. No surprises there. It's the discrepancy that I'm curious about!
Yeppp. Game's going to be great!
Not quite. Development kits are a little different than your typical PCs. They still have a slice of the console's actual specs in them. So, unlike a typical PC-to-console port, games made specifically for a console still have to be made with that console's specific specs.
So, you're right and wrong.
This would make sense if all you had on either system was shooters. Since that isn't true, the joke's on you for taking that viewpoint serious.
I have to disagree. The intricate details of the PC version are VERY pronounced. The X1 iteration looks much flatter.
I'll say this, though, I don't remember it looking that bad when I played it on my TV, so perhaps it's their capture tech.
Based on what, exactly?
You've responded twice (once to myself, in fact) and have yet to add anything constructive. I'm lead to believe that you know very little about the material discussed.
To combat the "butt-hurt" people, why not give a response that proves that you don't suffer from the same condition?
@ Dewitt: I did know that. However, it still leaves my question unanswered. How large of an improvement will that have for the X1? I never said there would be NO improvement, I just don't expect it to offer any major change in the status quo (and judging from Microsoft's responses to this topic, neither do they).
Discussions regarding the PS4, my good man, are in the article (if you read it). It's also shown, just under the headline, on this very page, above. Relevance? Indeed.
In any event, the fact that you have to resort to insults tells me that, not only was my argument much stronger than yours, but your feathers have been ruffled more than they should have been.
Good day, sir. Try not to let this stuff affect you so much. ;)
There really isn't anything left to discuss. You've already been shutdown with no response to contradict what I said and no technical knowledge to realistically combat the replies. It's evident, among other things, by the comment about the PS4 completely flying over your head.
Bottom line, if DX12 is going to "make the X1 better than PS4" (in your world), you've yet to irrefutably detail how.
Edit: As for OrangePowerz's comment b...
Your question is part of an open-ended discussion. Why put ANYTHING in a system? You think if MS had this "major advantage", they'd continue to hold it, and even further, state that it WOULD NOT offer a significant change in the future? Beyond that, how, in that same breath, do you know if there isn't some "hidden" tech in the PS4 that isn't being utilized? As I said, open-ended.
Console specs:
XB1
1.310 TF GPU (12 CUs)...
Great news, if true!
