So many great games to choose from, my choice:
1 - The Last of Us
2 - Uncharted Series
3 - Valkyria Chronicles
4 - God of War 3
5 - Infamous Series
Cannot argue with anyone if they chose Ratchet & Clank, Ni No Kuni or MGS4 or any of the dozens of amazing exclusives we have been spoiled with.
All this arguing is so pointless. They all look amazing but the differences in lighting etc make a fair comparison impossible.
However, to say that Crysis on PC doesnt come out on top is delusional - you would need a super expensive PS to achieve those results so its hardly a surprise.
For me its got to the point where graphics arent a consideration any more. Games generally look great regardless - albeit some don't run as well as they could.

I loved LA Noire but the mouths on that game were never quite right, they had an odd visual characteristic. Still a great looking game.
Halo was pretty impressive too, but Uncharted 2 & 3 and especially The Last Of Us nailed mocap better than anything else I have seen this gen.
Glad to see GG getting the love, I think they really deserve it.
I love my podcasts, particularly GiantBomb and Weekend Confirmed and it has always annoyed me how they never rated KZ2 & 3 yet raved about HALO. For me I always preferred KillZone.
To see this game looking to good and having a more mainstream feel this time around I reckon GG might actually get the recognition they deserve.
Agree with you on all accounts but I have to say I think people were overly harsh on the story for KZ2 & 3.
Ie found them quite enjoyable and certainly no worse than the likes of HALO, Resistance or Gears
I know what you mean chief, but it was a discounted game on release anyway (here in the UK at least).
Sure hope it sold enough to justify the localization, would hate for games like this to stay in Japan only.
Loved Lollipop Chainsaw, had such a great time with it.
Lots of under-appreciated games will be available for next to nothing over the coming months. I would recommend Lollipop to anyone who likes a daft, old school scrap.
Absolutely bonkers!!!!
Having said that, I almost never kill animals in any game as I just hate the idea.......mowing down people, well that's just fine :)
I remember when playing FarCry3 I had to do all the hunting in one sitting to get it out of the way so I could enjoy the rest of the game :)
The idea that it promotes animal cruelty is the stupidest thing I have read for a good while!
Would urge anyone to pick up Puppeteer and support Sony for still committing to making such amazingly original games.
It is a really fab game, I had a huge grin on my face the whole way through it :)
SO very good on VITA, plays like a dream. For me this is the best place to play it - although I did enjoy it on PC too :)
Looks amazing but I worry I wont be able to keep up with what is happening - it will be like when I try and watch Ice Hockey :)
Will be very interested to see reviews of this game.
It will be interesting to see how reviewers actually handle reviewing next gen games. Will games get a free pass because of the visuals as they are such a leap from this gen?
Personally I think that the historical setting is awesome and the graphics are certainly really impressive although I still think that the animation is less than stellar as I can see the breaks between each animation.

Can you name some of those PC games please? I have been a gamer on all formats for years and cannot recall a better PC game from the 90's?
I have been replaying all my old faves over the last couple of months. Recently replayed Deadspace and The Last of Us and am now looking to blast through the Uncharted series for old times sake (have platinum trophies on all these now!).
Looking to play Dead Space 2, Vanquish and the Mass Effect Trilogy too - gonna be a tight squeeze :)
I feel like I can see the gaps between animations or something, its hard to describe but the animations dont seem to roll into each other quite smoothly enough.
I remember loving a game called Clive Barkers Undying many years ago. Great atmosphere and really enjoyable gameplay too.

Tremendous advert, almost as good as the 'Greatness Awaits' advert - http://www.youtube.com/watc...
As others have said I have a real soft spot for the 'Micheal' advert too.
The advert is eye catching and clever, some of the most successful adverts have not shown the products as such. Check out these, they made a huge splash here in the UK

Are you really suggesting that Naughty Dog make poor games? REALLY?
Just as with any other medium there are good examples and bad examples of games.
I did not intend to suggest that concept art was the key artistic element in games creation however I will say you are very misinformed if you think that concept art plays no role in games development.
It is vital to the visual design of the game, it is used by everyone from the texture artists to the lighting artists and the animators to help visualize what the game directors vi...
In the last month or so I have played Dragons Crown, Beyond Two Souls, Puppeteer and Guacamelee on top of all the multi-plats such as Diablo3 etc.
I am also dying to play The Witch and the Hundred Knights next month.
That's why I place all my faith in Sony and feel that MS are just a bunch of shysters looking to promise a gazillion games to get me on board only to leave me with Forza and Halo 3 years from now.
