If you like AC games and are playing on PS4 then you have nothing to worry about, its a really good game.
35 hours in on PS4 and hope to wrap it up tonight. I have experienced a bug a few times at most and for the most part have had a brilliant time with Unity.

I think this is as much a sign of the state of video game 'journalism' and an increasingly negative attitude being adopted by an ever increasing and vocal element of the gaming community.
I am not saying games developers/publishers behavior is perfect, but the way they are being bashed at the moment it doest seem unreasonable for you to make your own mind up.

Not so sure I would agree with this, Spencer was as much a part of the old xbox management setup as Mattrick and the rest. I beleive Spencer gets a bit of a free pass where this is concerned.
While things have improved a little, XBOX still come out with regular spin and halftruths such as Tomb Raider being exclusive. While a relatively small lie, it still fosters that feeling of mistrust I have where XBOX management is concerned.
Yup, I think most games are relevant for their time. Even my most beloved games age and would be laughed at by my son now. I can just imagine if I forced him to play the original Sensible Soccer (legendry amiga game here in the uk) instead of Fifa or even something like the original Zelda.
I think there are very few games that could be considered as timeless, maybe Super Mario World?
I agree completely Starchild, for me, Ubisoft have not made a single bad game on my PS4. Some games were better than others but they have all been enjoyable to varying degrees.
I loved Rayman most of all and missed a platinum by 2 trophies as I didnt have friends scores to beat.
Child of Light and Valiant Hearts were brilliant and Black Flag is a contender for my favourite AC game, those sea shanties were so cool.

Its a mystery to me why anyone would want to meet Major Nelson, he has, in my opinion, been a negative influence on Xbox and gaming for too long.
Its been tough not picking up GTA5 or Dragon Age instead, but I have managed to hang in there and keep my pre order for LBP3.....really excited to play this, its going to be a great pallet cleanser after the 40 hours of Unity and two play throughs of COD.

Nearly every new release on PSN is priced at over 50 quid, often at £55 when I can go online a purchase a retail copy for under 40 quid.

While lesser performance didnt bother me particularly when I played multiplatform games on PS3 last gen I did at least acknowledge it. It was the other stuff that made gaming on PS3 attractive, namely the amazing exclusive games that dropped every month or so and all my work mates and later on, PS+.
I dont see any problem in acknowledging that XB1 has weaker multiplat titles this time around, if you are happy with that, and the XB1s other plus points outweigh the weaker perf...

All I know is that I have never had a problem finding something to play. In respect of exclusives I have really enjoyed all of them, and am pleased that I have the sense to hold reviewers and journalists opinions in utter contempt.
Killzone was an awesome experience, I really liked it and the same goes for Infamous, MLB was fabulous too. I also felt that Knack was harshly judged because that was a good game too.

I have had around 30 hours of gameplay so far and have had 1 or two glitches at most. Just enjoy the game and immerse yourself in the most detailed open world ever created, you will have no problems.
Its criminal that there has been such a blatant witch hunt against this game and Ubi, as I have said elsewhere, the game is great and if you like AC games this is up there with the best of them.
Fair comment dude, you seem to know a little more than I about their figures regarding last gen. I still feel that this gen will be tough for them, they must be taking a loss on each console at the moment.
I hope you are wrong about next generation, I love my own piece of hardware and physical copies of games.....a future where we play only digital content through a one size fits all device doesnt appeal to me. Old guy stuck in his ways I guess :)
