I think that the key consideration must be that even if the Alienware is more powerful its games will not be optimised to take maximum advantage of that power.

I like the beta a lot but I am not liking the setting this time around, the whole "cops and robbers" thing is doing nothing for me.

This is the first BF where I am not all that excited and I am considering sticking with BF4 which I love to bits.

I have no doubt that Naughty Dog could make a brilliant version of Crash or Jak and I would love them to do just that.

However I do feel that ND have moved on, they are a different developer with different aspirations these days and I totally appreciate that. They now have the reputation and skill set to really push the boundaries of story telling and can only how exciting and fulfilling this is for everyone at ND.

I have never liked motion controls, they are the sole reason I never got to play Mario, Donkey Kong and many of the other great games the Wii had, I tried them but couldnt stand the controls.

As a Wii U owner I was quite excited when they announced Wii games for the virtual console and I have bought both Galaxy 2 and Donkey Kong but they still only support Wiimote and I have tried and tried but I just hate the controls so much.

Bioshock would be at the top of my list with Fallout 3, Fallout Vegas and Skyrim being close behind.

I played all these on PS3 and then on pc and so i am well aware of how much better these games were on better hardware.

As I prefer gaming on console I would love the chance to play these games in a remastered form with all the DLC on my PS4

As a huge fan of the game on PS3 I had no problem with buying it again.

There is never a fuss when 'game of the year' titles are released and thats how I viewed this release. It was the ultimate version of the best game I have ever played.

Enough has already been said about the production values of the game, it looks incredible and is so smooth. When you add in the DLC and also the bundled in documentary I just feel like it was the ultimate release ...

I know I am going to take a mauling here, but Resistance was a series that I could never get into. I bought and still own all 3 and did get some enjoyment from R3 but overall something just never quite clicked.

I personally would prefer to hear about a reboot as there would be more chance of me enjoying that game.

Why limit yourself? They are going to be two very different experiences.

I gambled on Dark Souls 2 getting a PS4 release and decided not to play it on PS3. While I could have played it on my PC I just prefer to game on a console so this has panned out exactly as I had hoped.

This will be a day one purchase for me, cannot wait.

I am a huge Battlefield fan but have never tried Planetside 2 (on PC) but I am quite interested in trying this out on my PS4.

Can anyone tell me what the micro transactions are like. If you dont buy new gear do you get hosed, do players who spend more enjoy a huge advantage, is there any progression or do you just pay for new toys?

Any info would be great thanks.

I came here to make the exact same comment, I remember jumping out of my seat :)

IF it works as promised this will be quite something, however, MS has a very poor track record when it comes to announcing and showcasing new tech.

Lets hope they deliver this time.

I have never needed to buy a battlepack, everything can be earned ingame quite easily, I found the way they were doled out led to a really nice sense of progression.

Yup, same here. The game looks fab so I will deffo be picking this up on Steam.

Sometimes I wish I could disagree to a comment a hundred times over!

The reason these games have any following at all is precisely because of the difficulty, From Software know this and I dont think they would not risk alienating their audience.

I am sure they have made adjustments to make it more accessible but this is not the same thing as making it easier, this game is going to be amazing and I am sure it will offer the challenge that souls fans crave.

I guess everyone is different and its interesting to see others opinions - its nice to see I am not the only old fart on here too :)

My personal list would be

PS1
PS3
PS2
SuperNES
NES

I imagine PS2 would be higher but I missed a lot of that generation as I was gaming on a PC (Counterstrike and Battlefield 1942 really had their hooks in me back then)

My biggest regret is handing down my old cons...

I feel like a real generational leap took place with the PS1, all those games you mentioned were incredible and for me set the ball in motion for everything that has come since.

I feel like PS1 started the change in attitudes towards gaming too, with mainstream acceptance of games as more than something for kids.

I have used this site for a long time and can remember vividly the anti Sony sentiment over the first few years of the PS3s life.

MS has now gone through there own rough patch and are coming out of the other side.

There is no question in my mind that some of the established websites have there own bias and agendas which is why I never listen to reviews and prefer to make my own mind up.

The problem I have is that there a plenty of 'DougLo...

I think people need to understand the nature of the hype. I have read relatively little from Sony or Ready at Dawn, the odd comment or trailer, but nothing different to all the other devs out there.

The problem is with the hundreds of amateur gaming sites out there that keep knocking out these same tired stories over and over. Really, I havent seen all that much from the more established sites like IGN, Joystiq and so on, it really is these wannabe sites that are propogatin...

You sure are reading a lot of 'The Order' articles for someone who has no interest in the game.

Instead of acting like a 10 year old stamping his feet in a tantrum why not avoid the articles that you claim to find annoying.
