Count me as one of the fools who did such a thing
Missing the point. I don’t care how well the game’s end up being. The point i’m making is that they’re actually “trying.” Where as Sony has been nonexistent
Because in “my” opinion, Sony continues to put out the exact same type of games from their first party studios aside from God of War and The Last of Us. Similar to Ubisoft over the past decade. Making an open world and focusing on the “story” is not the way to go about game development. They have no sprawling rpg’s. Being a company that brings in near 70 billion per year, I expect them to add to the rpg fire so that it’s not just Bethesda, CD Project Red, Obsidian, Monolith Soft, Square Enix,...
Hmm, insecurity? I’m a playstation gamer and gaming is a hobby/passion of mine. So if I have disappointment I’m going to voice it. When I comment it’s with no bias
However I am concerned for you as an individual, as the thought process on how you came up with your comment seems a bit alarming. Nowhere did I state anything that should’v warranted that response from you regarding insecurity. So good luck to you and wish you well
Same, but for those getting the series x though, Avowed looks to be great as well given Obsidian’s ambitions and track record. I agree the Fable fantasy setting is more up my alley, but I love me some medieval backdrop as well!
@legols
Lol get real dude, I only play on my playstation and have only owned an xbox one which i got for next to nothing. My comment was based on Sony not creating any compelling rpg’s. Which tend to be some of the richest experiences in gaming. Why people complain about how good a game looks or lack there of is beyond me. It’s about gameplay, not solely graphics. As long as the game looks modern at a stable frame rate, that’s all that should matter. Gameplay is what keeps ...
This studio is going to be huge. Already have a Fallout competitor in The Outer Worlds, and now Avowed looks to be the game to compete with Elder Scrolls. Sony really dropping the ball
Dude, YES. Odd that there was no gameplay though
For those who are only getting an xbox, be proud that Msft is actually focusing on rpg’s that have the potential to be on par with the likes of Fallout, Witcher 3, etc. Games that can sell consistently for 10+ years and be beloved. Avowed looked exactly like Sony’s missed opportunity from their 2013 tech demo “Dark Sorcerer.”
Why Sony doesn’t have a care in the world to create these sort of games is beyond me and a major blow to my personal morale.
Please continue to praise the ending chapters. BEST parts of the game by far (although the entirety of it was a thrill ride).
This is why developers and creative geniuses are responsible for making these sort of drastic and complex decisions, and not entitled gamers. The saying “gamers don’t know what they want until we show it to them” absolutely applies to this game/story. Those who prefer the original can still go play it. A great and amazing game. The remake is the evol...
Not to be overly forward but plan on waiting about 8+ years for your purchase
I couldn’t disagree more. I think the new direction is bold, smart, intuitive and allows for a MUCH more fleshed out series for us all to be able to enjoy way more of the FFVII universe.
As far as Nomura directing, again I absolutely disagree. The man is a genius and comes up with twists and thoughtful takes on how to tell stories. Similar to Christopher Nolan as a film director. Not all stories need to be straightforward. Make the viewer think and wonder a bit. Some convu...
Honestly to the Board of Directors and very high level execs
But nowhere near enough to differentiate it from an action/adventure game to an rpg like the witcher. Although I will admit, if we’re attempting to try and argue that HZD & GoT both have rpg “elements”, GoT has much more than Horizon for certain. HZD is sprinkled while GoT is a notch above that.
Exactly why Sekiro is my least favorite FromSoft souls-like game
Whomever wrote this article is entitled to their opinion, but is a fool
It would be a win win situation for them as a business and us as consumers. They could eventually have advertisements on buildings (similar to New York) and make a bunch of revenue on that, while we get the Home experience back. It’s a sims like experience that I’d actually invest some time in if executed right. With the ssd they could even allow an option on the home screen to jump right in to Home with your avatar. Display trophies in one of your properties. Possibilities are endless
@minute man
Yes very true, my point was that they both don’t interest me. I lost interest in Uncharted after the 2nd one. Too repetitive and nothing to broaden the gameplay experience. You watch the story, shoot enemies, & pick up ammunition
@phoenixwing
Understood that makes sense so I’m sure there’s a lot of merit to your idea
I’ve never enjoyed Gears as it’s come off very similar to the way Uncharted makes me feel (a 10-15 hour shooting gallery with no depth), but Gears 5 is the first where I’m considering it given the mini overhaul they did for the gameplay loop and progression
Any one know why the MP is going to be 120 fps but not the single player? Not a tech wizard by any means but wouldn’t it be more likely the other way around?
Really hoping they give the FFVIIR love and treatment to the next mainline KH game. 3 left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth
Side note: Traverse Town > Twilight Town
