yeah this is cool and actually worthy DLC, but since is sequence 12, 13 that was missing in the game, it pretty much proves that they left it out just so they can charge for it later DLC. One of my pet peeves about DLC its an easy way for game devs to purposely leave out story for a way for extra $$$$ I never want to feel like when I buy a game that it is purposely not the finished product.

I got back recently from my vacation in Japan, and let me tell you, FF13 will be huge. It gets more marketing there than Call of Duty in the west. Crap you can reserve your copy at a 7-11 there.
I would take a new Lunar or xenosaga, but hey what are you going to do.

EXACTLY.Reviews grade certain games way different than others. You say how its great because its old school then complain saying its too safe? WTH? the P4 just being another toad sucks though.

I agree that the media freaks out too much on video games, and video games should be looked upon as an artform like movies and music. They are already lots of games that are good examples, but lets not kid ourselves, call of duty isn't. IMO the opening of the first modern warfare did a much better job of setting the tone of just how bad the bad guys are. This one is just a gimmick to me.

no, you are pretty much wrong. The first two came over with relative success, so this is pretty much a shoe in. Muramasa on the wii is 100% more Japanese than this and it came over, so not sure with it being too much Japanese has to do with anything.....

This is looking like a fantastic year for 2010 for JRPGs. Finally, the next wave is coming in. Especially for sony. You get white knight story and star ocean 4 early. Then you get tales of vesperia and final fantasy 13 in the summer, then you get sega and tri-aces new rpg, trinity universe, and this. Then if you count yakuza 3 in sort of and then valkirye chronicles 2 on psp. Damn....
No sir, its like final fantasy. You dont' really need to play the past games, but sometimes there are side stories or certain summons or hidden items that tie in or relate to past games which is really cool, but I have no doubt in my mind not playing the past games will take away from your enjoyment of this game. Its like if you did, it will add a certain bonus. A lot like Dragon quest as well.
not its not just you, but you are wrong to think they all look the same. To me and lots of people, JRPGs look very different. Sci-fi FPS all look the same, and there really isn't any difference in art style or characters from fallout to borderlands to rage, to quake to gears of war. Its all dark,rural, and mostly gray.
I hope it does better than odin sphere. Odin Sphere was in my mind one of the top five best games on ps2. It got my wife into gaming, so vinallaware will always have a special place in our hearts. I bought a wii just for this game, no more heroes, and TvsC.

its a game based of a very ecchi, close to ero, type anime. Its real popular in Japan and you can find the fan subs really easy online.
