know what you mean. From what I read, Nomura won't make those same mistakes on FF 13 vs. Although I enjoyed FF13, tales of vesperia, tales of the abyss, tales of phantasia, and both tales of destinies were better than it IMO so yeah... Tales of series doesn't suck. lol
there is no bigger spiderman fan than me, and this doesn't look good. I hate the noir parts. I'm like yuck are they trying it to be like Batman Dark Asylum? I mean what works for Batman doesn't for spiderman. I hope the other two dimensions are cooler. I hope ultimate or 2099. 1602 could be cool too. Pray to God there is no spiderman india dimension.
o and maxium carnage was a great game and all, but come on it was just a beat em up. Spiderman 2 change superhero games forever and Ultimate spiderman was the closest we have to be like a comic. Shoot the game actually tied into the ultimate comic books.
heck yes, and remember the good spiderman games on the PS one? classics. I loved unlocking all of the comic covers and obsecure customes.
I think JRPGs in genreal. Everything Nomura touches are greatness. Seriously, kingdom hearts, FF7, and the most overlooked game The world ends with you.
not to take away from 7,8,10 (7 and 10 are my favorite FF games), but "loyal" or "True" FF fans prob want it to be more like FF1 thru 6, and FF9. I mean there were six games before it got all steam punk. lol A lot of people only started playing FF at 7 so those people of look for something different.
I see your complaints. However, you can level up and grind believe me. When you get to chapter 11 all of the classes open up. So to fully max out your characters strength, magic, and HP you have to max out all paradigms. Which take a LONG time. Then 64 side quest missions which one grants you the gengi glove which lets you hit more than max damage. Then your weapon can be leveled up above 50 then you have to find a really rare metal or buy the rare metal which cost 12,000,000 yeah I say you h...

What do you mean? Do you even keep track of JRPG's? You must mean traditional FF series, but because there are a lot coming out. You have tales of grace, xenoblade, arc rise fantasia on the wii. You have Dragon quest 9 on the DS (which you can not get more traditional than DQ). You have end of eternity, ar tonelico 3, White knight 2 on the PS3 as well. Gosh Square enix sure got you boxed in a Square for JRPGs lol.
actually it isn't completly independent. Its takes place and ties to the same universe in FF 13. They are three games they all tie in FF 13, FF vs 13, and FF agito all revovle around the same series sort of. Each though have a different director however.
I would add WKC. From some one who owns the game I can tell you its actually pretty good. No where near as bad as certain game sites want you to believe.

this score actually angers me a little. It deserved a 9. Honestly he complains that there is Japanese subtitles. ANYONE who is a fan of Japanese games will tell you that the Japanese language track is always the best. So you have to read a little. Grow up, reading is good for you.

I know , I agree. I had fun playing fallout and games like that, but the main story wasn't too great. J RPGs tend to build and build and get better and more intense the more you play.
its not lazy. how can you take one look at the monsters and graphics and call it lazy. Bad design choices maybe, but lazy I don't think so.

so FF13 isn't the best FF every, big deal. So it isn't the game to change the Fing world and convert people back to JRPG's again. I don't care and neither should you. Its still a damn good game and will entertain the hell out of you if you like JRPGs and it will be unmatch graphicly for RPGs for a very long time. Still very worth your time and money.
agreed. FFX was very linear however only in the sense of where you need to go next. The dungeons and towns were massive and had tons of nooks and crannies and routes to take. Yeah the story might force you where to go, but you didn't just run a straight line to get there. People have bad memories. lol
whats freaking with you people? its going to end up being the highest reated JRPG for this gen and it still isn't worth your time? So a game has to be over 9 now to even be worth considering? So its not your style, thats fine, but stop pretending it sucks, go back to playing battlefield then and stay off the FF comments lol
of course it matters. I for one actually really like the art and character design. Complaining about it for one shows this reviewers true colors, he is obviously not a big JRPG fan. In which case begs the questions why is he reviewing a JRPG in the first place then? I mean the character designs are much "tamer" actually than most JRPGs lately.
not shocked at all. They changed FF to cater to more to the west, so no doubt the west sites will eat it up. I'm sure its going to be awesome, but I don't care what this reviewer said, It's going to be real hard dealing with no towns or NPC's. He says there boring and fluff BS, but they actually add to the story and make JRPGs, JRPGs. I hope I'm wrong, but this review actually made me more worried. lol
hopefully they won't since Nomura is heading the game instead of Wada.
