geez did you guys even own a PS2? you know the best system so far for games? haha are any of you guys older than 16? lol gosh I feel old.
Dude, like shooting games much? lol
Its ok though you said personal list, so its all good!
wth? this list is dumb. How old is this guy? With only 10 games in 10 years thats really hard to do. however he left out a crap load.
this list or top 15 in my mind should be not in any order.
1. GTA3
2. GTA san andreas
3. Zelda twilight princess
4. Halo
5. Call of duty modern warfare
6. Final fantasy 10
7. MGS3
8. Okami
9. Super mario Galaxy
10. Dragon quest 8
11. Persona 3
12. KOTOR
13....
Sorry that second comment wasn't at you. It was actually at FOXGOD above our conversation and I just replied to the wrong post. All because bioware is in Canada doesn't mean its not the west. Most consider the west as America, Canada, and some of Europe, where east is mostly all Asian countries. So that's just you being nit picky. Don't make accusations, I btw did read your whole post. lol
It's not really what I feel about moral choices. What your saying is mostly people expect v...
also you saying demon souls isn't a JRPG is dumb. All because it has a more western darker tone? Really yet you included Jade empire for WRPGs. I guess that should be counted as what a chinese RPG? lol
Ok stop acting like WRPG invented all those things. Chrono trigger came out over half a decade before KOTOR or oblivion and it was famous for the multiple endings. Huge vast worlds? Have you not played any dragon quest game? or shoot any final fantasy game? Huge vast worlds. Thats actually one of the staples of JRPGs a huge different world for you to explore. Sounds like you don't fully understand what makes a JRPG great.
All of those things you mentioned were way past the JRP...
eh! your right. I forgot Suikoden V was a step forward. Shame on me. I actually enjoyed that one too. I also forgot the new tri-ace game resonance of fate coming out soon. See thats what I"m talking about, there are so many coming out its hard to keep track and remember all of them!!
absolutely not. Thats the exact opposite of what they should do. Whats wrong is they are trying to appeal to the west too much and it the genre suffers from it. They make FF13 streamlined and action oriented and then people complain that its to linear. People are going to complain about JRPGs until they basically become WRPGS and there is nothing you can do about that. There are just some people who just won't like those games. No one seemed to mind the "Japaneseness" of games like ...
totally agree. Also because of the "xbox generation" There is people who only have owned or known of xbox and have hardly played any JRPG's so they view as the genre dead. When you get games like last remnat, blue dragon, and magna carta 2 I can understand why you think that. However look at lost odyssey, tales of vesperia and eternal sonata on that same system. Then look at the PS2 and DS had over hundreds of fantastic JRPG titles. Look at the onslaught of games coming on PS3 this ...
are you kidding me? wh play them? Well why play call of duty, halo, killzone, medal of honor, bad company, doom, half life, left for dead, battlefield, crysis, fear? they are all the same basicilly. Actually the gamplay between most JRPGS are more different than those games. Their so called story is slightly different, but its the same concept. However there are no, are FPS dead articles. ITs BS and biased.
what are you talking about? You get FF13, white knight, last rebillion, star ocean, yakuza 3 on the main consoles in the next month and a half. Then there still is FFIV, FFvs, FF agito, Ar tonelico 3, trinity soul, dragon quest 6, 9, tales of graces, so I don't know what your smoking. Check this out.

And you say suikoden? Suikoden iv was horrible compa...
Chubear your example is horrible. This is a game on major taste. Very weird and crazy Japanese goodness. ITs not the sky is blue no its green. Its more I see navy blue, no I see baby blue. Either fraking way its still blue.
Now whats funny to me is if this was a PS3 only game there would be a lot of poeple talking about how stupid and silly it is and more Japanese wierdness. Doesn't matter, I bet this game still sells almost the same on both systems, if not PS3 the edge.
seriously though this game is awesome and cool. So the game is slightly better on the 360 so what. Its still great and you still can buy it on the PS3 and enjoy the hell of it. Remember its wrong when xbox fanboys bash games any PS3 games, its wrong the other way around. What makes this so dumb in my eyes its not even a "xbox" game its multi-platform. lol
well 2010 is year of the RPG and the year PS3 FINALLY gets JRPGS. Crap in two months PS3 owners will have Star Ocean 4, white knight, last rebillion, final fantasy 13, and you can sort of count Yakuza 3 as a RPG. Damn
guys its silly not to buy it on the PS3, if you only have a PS3. They ported it over because they figured it would sell more on 360( a big mistake because of different fan base) If you dont buy it then that justifies what they think. The only way to stop this crap is to buy the game, make them see there is money to be had on PS3 and then they will try better next time. If they think it won't sell they will try less. ITs common sense. Honestly though I'm still going to get on PS3, because I ca...
I will reserve my judgment on wether if the PS3 version is that much worse until I play it myself. I'm done with listening to bloated ego reviewers.
eh, Don't care what IGN says. I'm getting it on PS3. I remember when they said fallout 3 was unplayable and it was fine and dandy. The reason to play fallout 3 on the 360 was because of the DLC not because of the PS3 was a bad port. I also remember really "long" load times for Soul Caliber iv and it was fine. This however I don't see a big deal. Loved the Demo on PS3 so its a must buy for me. Most reviews shall I say exaggerate the differences between the two systems.
yeah or making star ocean 4 not multi-platform at release. A lot of weird decesions.
yes you can. Its a lot like FFX. Very Linear at first and opens up big late, but still not really a "open world" like FF 7-9. Still FFX is my second favorite FF RPG so if its like that I would be really happy.
haha thats exactly what I was thinking. bubble for noticing it.
