have you seen sony's earnings? i mean losses...then have you seen MS earnings?
Project had potential but the original devs ran out of money so gamigo bought it...ti was released with so much lag and so many broken mechanics that it didn't last long...amazing looking title..just rushed and not that fun to play. Part of the reason jumpgate 2 was cancelled
i think Gabe needs another doughnut...hes mouth is wide open again...amazing guy...big mouth = )
I think you are correct that it was trending that way for a while...but with the explosion of games like dark souls and some of the smaller indie titles, devs are starting to see some people are hungry for more challenging experiences. Epic has already been talking up Gears 4 as being incredibly hard.
I think it probably comes down to people not caring as much about the tech side of "how stuff works" that will keep this from being widely viewed...but yes...it was a good read
Easy modes don't ruin games because most of the time the developers don't spend much time balancing the easy modes. They just reduce damage and slow reaction time of the enemies. Simple script changes. I know a few people who just aren't very good at games but they enjoy playing and like the stories that some games tell. For these people I think it is a great option. It wasn't until games started getting easier that more people played them. I think it really depends on w...

haha...perfectly said @ negative = P
Max Payne was OK on 360...its amazing on the PC
I thought/think Future Soldier is a great game. Played though it on the 360 and though the gunsmith with connect was tough to get used to it was still fun to mess with. Then bought the game for the PC to play with my friends online co-op and damn its much better with a mouse and keyboard not to mention the dx11 effects are outstanding.
Guess it all depends on what you are looking for in a game right?
Though Crysis 1 was considered a benchmark game I think it said more towards Crytek not being able to make a game that could look amazing and run great on current hardware. I did enjoy the game...but it was far from optimized. Back in the day when making CS maps it was really easy to make amazing maps that didn't run worth a shit...how is that benchmark?
did any of you actually buy it or are you just going on what you have read? So far it runs much better than the console version and plays great if you use a controller. Had no issues here.
next gen games will still have a counterpart on current gen consoles just like they did last generation.
the single player in the last MOH I thought was great...this time they doing the multi in-house on the same engine...i think you should prepare to be impressed
DRM allows them to still make the game...its not designed to punish...its designed to slow down a few people and get a few more sales that they deserve. Don't take it personal, and if you do, do more to stop your friends and the people they know from pirating games...pretty easy solution...
There for sure was a time before demos...it is all about ease of access that fuels piracy. When it takes less time to download and install a game than it takes to go to the store and buy it...people are just going to download it. I'd be full of it if I said I was never part of that, but personally i found that I had no appreciation of any of the games I would download...before I even got close to finishing it another game would come out and I would download that.
