Exactly... Sony never once promised it would play ps3 games, psnow and the ps2 classics are just gravy.
Sony did many magical things with the cell... the reason that Rockstar did so well was they had years and years to make the game engine and optimize it while they created all the content, and since ps3 was it's biggest user base on the initial release they really wanted to focus on it. It runs very well on 360 also, just a general great job by the rockstar guys, AND IT'S FUN. Heh!
Godmars,
The early ps3s I think did it in hardware? And later ones only worked for digital downloads? Is that right?
... "class up"... if by class up you mean make it look like 1979 threw up all over your PS4...
Wood is classy for some stuff.. wooden electronics are hipster retro trash unless it's the actual vintage part that came from the
factory like that.... like the wooden sides on
old pioneer equipment.
Even if wood is classy and even if you
have no issues adding wood to a 2013
game console... this looks like the c...
And it never ever claimed to... PSNOW is the closest and it's still not sold as backward compatability... it's actually not just a ps4 thing it also allows VITA to play for instance. All for one price if you happen to have multiple platforms
.. but seeing as its one of the only few things the xbox can claim it has (mind you still at a limited capacity 3 years after launch) that the PS4 doesn't people will beat that dead horse for all its worth.
... sounds like you might be a 2 finger typist?
Nostalgia... and wallets so thick with Gameboy and Pokémon money they can't
sit down straight. Seems to be working.
They've made some console mis-Steps... but
really they do ok. Compared to the likes of
atari, sega, SNK.... they are doing fine.
Exactly.. what the hell is their excuse for that.
The true answer is they made a last minute decision to make the game run on low end hardware so they could sell to a bigger market of PC gamers, and have good compatibility across a wider array of older video hardware... that's why the PC version was downgraded and entire systems don't get swapped out or added in when you change the LOD slider on PC outside specific API and physics enhancements... still no excuse fo...
The difference we see between the neo and the Scorpio is actually smaller than the difference between the ps4 and Xbox one.. but in the other direction. For literally years the Xbox fans have been yelling the power difference doesnt matter... but the power difference from neo to Scorpio is actually smaller, at least they use the same memory unlike the last time.
Well one is... the other is soon but is just a slim model which as far as I can see is just them catching up to Sony design from 3 years earlier already being small with a built in power supply.... but Xbox guys will tell you it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. Sorry but if a person is buying soley by size and lack of a power brick... the ps4 launch model holds its own fine against the xb1-S
It wasn't even a comeback it launched a year later at a higher price and outsold the Xbox 360 EVERY MONTH globally til it overtook it, even with millions of xb360s failing and being repurchased and Microsoft including warranty replacements in their shipped numbers.... ah well keep dreaming though.
... there is zero wrong with their network or OS. Nice grasping at straws though. Sorry you are so obsessed with your menus ... It took the competition literally years to get important features like background music streaming that PS4 had at launch but... ah well who cares about actually playing when you can point out that your more recently used software is moved to the front for you.
@hold
Have you not spent much time around Nintendo fans? They are ridiculous and pompous. .. you may not notice them as much because there are so few of them and it's hard for them to argue openly so they keep to their echo chambers and circlejerks.... but they are horrible I assure you.
Weird huh so you noticed too... all the shut-ins are getting some Sun. I haven't seen young kids playing it. Not that they need to go far...
I opened the app on my phone and in my own house and back yard, playing about 5 mins a day only like twice I caught like 15 pokemon. I never opened It away from home. .. you can "catch" pokemon that are like 100 yards away , and GPS drift alone can move you that far.. you're looking at like a quarter mile radius. ...
PC gaming is already very similar. .. only console gaming is really a family room deal. In fact even with handheld games all it really does is disconnect you from reality ... or are you making tons of eye contact and chatting with strangers while fucking around with your phone on the subway??? Many vr games, all psvr for example can output to the tv/monitor simultaneously. .. making it just as social as console gaming already is seeing as most local co-op is already dead and the majority g...

Man.. remember anarchy online?
Console gaming has always been easier but... for the most part the market for pc gaming is expanding and not shrinking... things are much easier than they used to be. Steam makes it even simpler on the software side. .. I have a place in my living room for a console and a place in my office and "cave" for a PC , either gaming or gaming CAPABLE ... meaning lower end games in the case of my laptop.
For the most part a store bought PC with an upgraded graphics card...
Now try playing a game smoothly on 1.6ghz PC with integrated graphics through that emulator.
Do you know the clock speed and number of cores in the ps3s cell Cpu? Read up. How do you think you'll emulate that on a 1.6ghz cpu... and name me one other instance where a higher clocked "out of order" processor is succeasfully, fully and smoothly emulated by a lower clocked CPU with a similar number of cores...the Xbox can do it because the 360 had only 3 cores to...
