I did the math to get into the ballpark to Match a PS5 pro, not including anything fancy, and not trying to match its storage size because SSDs are so expensive right now... 1300-1500 if you take advantage of bundle pricing. It will still consume a lot more power, and be bigger and louder than the PS5, but it is , arguably more versatile. The PCs that stomp a ps5 pro are over 2000, perhaps more like 2500 depending on non-game oriented components like the size of the storage as an example ...

Honestly, between the direct play on my own console for games I play on both, and the actual streaming PSNow type stuff.... I think its one of the best and most overlooked gaming devices there is.... And there is an OLED version coming this year too (I hear)
Uh, So there are MODES in the game. There are modes with a lower resolution, but more advanced ray tracing (including in-cockpit) and to use those modes, you use PSSR- and its been using it for a long time. This is an upgrade on the VERSION of PSSR, the game already used the original PSSR.
That said, Change for the sake of Change and always trying to make "something new" - LOOK its named Resident Evil. What do you want from a Resident Evil game? Thats just upscalers in general, You would see the same thing in some cases on almost any platform with an upscaler... DLSS is not immune to this either thought he newer versions of DLSS made a GIANT positive difference.

I mean right off the bat..... the PC engine was not japan only, It came out elsewhere including the US

Thats where youre a bit off. Follow PS3 emulation on PC.... more intense games take much more intense power to smoothly emulate. Yes they CAN emulate PS3 but comparing that game to something like Uncharted or Motorstorm or MGS4 is not apples to apples in terms of the power needed.
Looking at the general state of things.. I think they simply are trying to hit check boxes and figured 2 nautical AC games was enough but .. I agree with you.
