Thats where youre a bit off. Follow PS3 emulation on PC.... more intense games take much more intense power to smoothly emulate. Yes they CAN emulate PS3 but comparing that game to something like Uncharted or Motorstorm or MGS4 is not apples to apples in terms of the power needed.

And because the sales dropped there- the multiplayer will be working until next year- for a console game that’s a long life span- the pc platform has a lower upkeep and more people getting into cheap headsets and they can sell the game and packs ultra cheap there versus paying Sony a chunk- as you say they just aren’t selling the same volume. For many years they did well though so good for them. On PC half life 2 still sells - know what I mean?
All those games were already on PC anyway. They're only so easy to port because PlayStation has literally copied Sonys architecture for multiple generations, just worse / corners cut (XBSX still doesnt have the fill rate of a base PS5 due to clocks, and it shows)

I love mostly anything Minter makes ... he seems to have been F'd over by some unknown drug in the 70s and simply rides that wave ever since. Great guy who knows what hes doing and sticks to what he knows - which are fun mechanics that work and a certain "visual flair" we've been enjoying since at least the first remakes of the classics if not the OGs... .Tempest 2000 back on the jag and later on Vita TXK and even further on tempest 4000 etc. its just endlessly awesome stuf...

I think the only game we need to directly compare this too right now is DESTINY and the best alternative world worry would be HALO INFINITE. In both counts this looks fine.... I dont know why they didnt make a destiny offshoot and why they dug out their own marathon title but at least it looks polished even if I am def NOT a fan of t he graphics.

I LIKE 9... I even LOVE 9. I do feel like 8 was better because of my own tastes, and I really liked the direction it was going. It really matured and 8 was the first in the series with like, real, proportionate characters we are used to seeing today in FF games, versus 9 which just stepped back to a more cartoon style- but 9 was a Fannnntasssstic game. I played it around the time I played Chrono Cross.... as a young guy those games were just incredible escapes from everything else around me...
there was a point in time where the DC was meant to have a MATROX gpu possibly, as well as other contenders and if it had along with a possible DVD drive and price hike it would be a totally different beast.
