I agree completely. Joyride Kinect was a horrible idea on Microsoft's part. It should have retained its original vision as the free to play, pay for upgrade game it was announced as. It's not even really a racing game, the gas is always on so essentially winning comes down to who screws up while driving first. Bad game to use as a selling point for Kinect.
The rest of your post was good, but the obama part is classic. Can't stand the man.
Yeah the "posts", I dont think anyone disputes that. But in general the articles tend to range from cautiously optimistic to skeptical, not the caustic hateful drivel flowing from fanboys, many of whom have never even tried a hand with it.
Not for nothing, but do you know this author? Are you friends with him or have more knowledge of him than simply reading this article? Then how exactly are you able to make an estimation that he knows nothing about gaming? He is not CNN, as CNN is a thing and obviously knows nothing about gaming. However this article wasn't written by a thing. As for all gaming sites hating it, um sorry thats not accurate. Most of the hate comes from the idiot fanboys commenting on it, not from the proper...
There were two puzzles near the end of the game that were a bit of a pain, but for me, a guide was useful in finding the blobs that give you the achievements. At this point I still need to complete the game in one sitting with less than 5 deaths to have all 12 achievements.
I am somewhat curious, but how can you determine from those numbers that the software that sold wasn't to new users? There is no sales data that ties a console sold to a same receipt game sale. I'm not saying you are either right or wrong, but there is nothing that indicates that in either way. The only thing that really validates this or not is the tie ratio. That has dipped slightly, but it still is above 8.8 games per console. So even if there is a portion that are rebuys, it hasn&...
I don't think that there was necessarily anything wrong with your initial comment. Value is a completely subjective thing. If you feel that those two hours you spent playing through the DLC were worth the 10 dollars, then there you go. Also, I don't think its really possible to paint a generic brush over how long DLC should or shouldn't be. For a multi-player game DLC could add hours of play because of added game types and maps. For a single player game, DLC will almost never be a...
@SephireX
Saying I'm not a true gamer if I haven't played through a full Final Fantasy is literally one of the most retarded things I have read. I'm 32 and I've been gaming since I was 5 years old. I have played on the Atari 2600, NES, Genesis, Super NES, 32X, Sega CD, Saturn, Dreamcast, Xbox, GC, PS2, Wii, 360, and PS3 not to mention handhelds, so you may want to rethink that idiotic statement. I also I have played what I consider to be better RPGs such as Ch...
Easy to say when you aren't the one coding the AI needed for that.
Ninja Gaiden was a tough game, both the original NES series and the XBox release. I will definitely admit that there was a sense of accomplishment to beating that game, but I don't need every, or even many games to be that way.
Also, to your point below about games lasting 20+ hours, that would kill the game industry. 8-10 hours is about the most that an average gamer is going to spen...
I'd say there is just as much genius to the barbones style story. The story has not been laid forth before you, other than to tell you that you are searching for your sister. Why exactly? Well that really is left to your imagination. Maybe its not the sister that is actually lost, maybe it's the boy. In a comma or hurt in those woods trying to find his way back to reality. The last thing he sees before whatever it is that puts him there on the forest floor is his sister and he is figh...
So so??? Really? Frankly I am a big fan of the way these ladies look. Not mostly fake like the centerfolds in todays Playboy.
You were right up to this point:
Xbox 360 fan in general: "Sales, sales, sales"
Here is the corrected version:
Xbox360 and PS3 Fanbois in general: "Sales, sales, sales"
What the hell ever happend to the fanboy arguments from back in the day. Super Nes is better than Genesis, they got Mario Zelda and Metroid. Genesis is better they got Sonic, Strider and Phantasy Star. Street Fighter SNES is better, the gra...
It's not nerd rage, it's fanboi histeria. They all need to take some video game prozac.
Agreed, but the only way to fly is with both side by side. They look good on my entertainment center :).
@Chris399
And so what if it is people replacing their old systems with the new design? The same thing happened when the Slim PS3 released. It happens whenever there is a console redesign and trying to bring it up as a negative is stupid. It doesn't blunt the fact that at least according to VGChartz numbers, the 360 is pushing back towards even with the PS3. This should not be discounted considering that EMEA is a big Sony stronghold. I don't know that these numbers wi...
Give me a break man, honestly. So they are going to tell people not to buy a new system, that has a very specific warning on it not to move your console while a disk is inserted, because people are stupid and can't read? If so that's the most ignorant retail site ever.
The expendable cash argument goes the other way as well. If you just spent 300 dollars on a console and value your purchase why would you:
1. Put it in a place where it could be knocked, kicked, fall over
2. Put it in a place where it would overheat requiring you to move it while playing so it doesn't die on you (referencing a comment up above)
Consoles are not portables they are not meant to be moved while playing regardless of the reaso...
Edit
I have a Netgear Dual band N router. I use WPA as well as MAC filtering for security. The box handles this just fine. But yeah if you have no access to your network router (which appears to be the case with these guys in office) you could run into issues. Whoever titled this N4G article is retarded.
Sorry, but this is just a retarded statement. So you can move your console around without it scratching the disc, congratulations but is this something you do regularly, and if so, why exactly? Yes I have seen the arguments about the console falling accidentally, and I still say that if your console is in a place where it could fall accidentally, you may want to rethink where you put it. It doesn't reflect on the cheapness of anything. They were provided a particular type of drive that do...
I have no urge to spin anything, but the short blurb about the article misrepresents the article proper. In the source article, there is no commentary from the developer at all. The portion that talks about efficiency is linked to a second article. When you get there, there is no comparison given about the efficiency of Kinect vs Move. That portion of the article didn't mention Kinect at all it just stated that Move is very efficient. Nothing more or less. This is video game "journal...
