Not the best write up of a game ever, but I must agree this game looks beautiful and I am very much looking forward to playing it and I can see myself devoting quite some time in to doing so!
Agreed, I love my shiny fatty most and it seems to load bluray movies faster for some reason.. That said, my slim realy is whisper quite, even though I regularily tear down the fatty for a proppa dusting. The slim also fits better in the space I have for it.
Yes making a cheaper slimmer PS3 which is more appealing and sells at a lower price makes no sense when next gen is round the corner!
I mean its not like Sony support their consoles for years or that it would produce additional revenue which Sony could utilise for first party games and software support for their next console or anything!
Sony should look back and remember how few PS2s they sold from the final slim model!

Pretty amazing that Sony's combined console sales are beating out Nintendo by around 24,000 a week!

Sony have a history of pushing boundaries with their consoles which will also benefit their other interests i.e. Film (Format), Music (Format/HW) etc.. now until they can find something similar they are going to wait!

Now that I will agree with (yes I pushed agree). As the best part of building my own gaming rig from scratch was the satisfaction I got, the sense of achievement from its successful first post and the fine tuning that followed it (my wife can contest to the time I spent tinkering thereafter - no jokes please)..
I even went as far as to create a simple batch file to kill unneeded processes so that games would run better!..

Indeed.. but where a PC would require a quad core a console could do the same on less than half that due to being a closed system with less overheads!

PC vs. Console makes me laugh.. I was primarily a PC gamer but PC gaming is going to die as are PC's.. Tablets, Mobile gaming and game streaming are going to be the future whether we like it or not..
My personal preference would be that MS do stay as competitionis the only thing that's kept this gen moving.

Indeed, but now, in so far as their OS is concerned, Smart phones, Tablets is where its at.
If people continue, as is the trend, to do their 'computing' on something other than a PC with Windows installed and Microsoft don't concentrate all their efforts on their OS being a part of that, then Windows will die a slow death and that will have a huge impact on Microsoft's future and thus future investment!
