Agreed, but it should be noted that publishers set the PSN prices, not Sony!
And in a way they pay for it, I will only buy 'normally' priced games off PSN and wouldn't dream of paying £50+ and I assume the same is true for many gamers in the UK?
The above said I still have a pretty massive DL game collection from PSN on my PS3! :)

Re BBC i-Player it is down to the BBC if they are charging for shows, not Sony. Whilst I don’t believe they are currently charging I understand they intend too at some point and as a longstanding license payer I’m pretty disgusted at some of the content they want to charge for.

Sarcasm aside, the loss of any game is sad as it means we may miss out on new innovations and art which could be the next, Unfinished Swan, Journey, Pixel Junk, Limbo, Fat Princess, Joe Danger, Flower (personal fav) etc etc…
TBH I’m just sick and tired of the negativity towards Sony these day’s and the fact that some people just don’t realise the negative effect there will be to gaming if either MS or Sony bow out.

Hope it's back up today, I didn’t get to try it yesterday before it reverted back to the old store (UK), and I was quite looking forawrd to it, I was even prepared for it to be slow to begin with too.
A lot of people moaning about nothing IMO, people should give it a chance to be up and running properly before they start moaning. The idea is that this store will evolve more too so make comments constructive.
I hope they've taken it down to fix the DL ...

I was also on their yesterday but thought it looked a bit better and better organised than it has done in the past, especially as far as PS+ content was concerned. (EU-UK PSN)
I managed to max out my basket pretty quick with free (PS+) content without the usual hassle I have in finding stuff.
Though it does need a re-fresh and this looks pretty darn good.
Same here but whilst the videos load fine for me the audio is sslllowww (deep), not sure if that is just me though and I need to tweak my audio settings but everything else seems to play and stream fine on it.
Trailers are also fine once downloaded and played, I would suspect my internet connection is slow but it looks fine on PS3 when I check - 9Mb+! :/
I concur, it is a pain in the arse when your downloading previously bought content on to a new or clean wiped system!
But Sony are slowly but surely adding the tweaks needed so props up to them! for example that 'select all' option for PS+ cloud saves is a godsend and something that also used to irritate!

Hmmm.. Gaikai really could be a game changer for Sony.
They could use it to simplify the cross-buy feature i.e. you buy a copy for the PS3/PS4 and it links in with Gaikai so you can play it streamed to your Vita or PS certified phones or tablets, games saved in cloud would be accessable via Gaikai so you can continue playing on the move where you left off on the console.
If they did the same for Videos and Music as well plus streamed demos to all devices tha...
If we are talking 'overall' graphics, AI, Physics etc then I don't think it is as code can always be improved / tightened. HOWEVER, given how late we are in the cycle I find it hard to believe that Third party studios or even Sony's First party will put a huge amount of pressure on pushing it much further.
I think that as far as pushing the console goes 'The Last of Us' and 'Beyond: Two Souls' are about as far as we will see it pushed as studio...

Hmmm.. wonder if they have kept the pricing similar because they are going to also reveal a new feature set for the PS3 i.e. Revised Store, OS perhaps and maybe even Game and/or Demo streaming (Gaikai)?
If they are it would make sense that they hold the price.. for the time being at least!
Personally I would like to see a bunch of new IPs alongside: 8 Days, The Getaway, Agent, Heavenly Sword 2, Metal Gear Solid 5 (yes I know it wouldn’t be truly chronological, nevertheless a formal MGS5 would be great), Final Fantasy Versus XIII (could well end up next gen) etc..
Then Sony show trailers for some revisited franchises to release the following year, like: Folklore, Syphon Filter, Legend of Dragoon, Timesplitters, Parappa the Rapper etc..

Why do I have a feeling that something in MGS: Ground Zeroes is going to lead people finishing the game to go pick up MGR: Revengeance even if they didn't originally as it didn't appeal to them!
I might well be wrong but its an interesting concept given the appeal of Revengeance doesn't appear to match that of Ground Zeroes, the former not being a usual MG title.
Can't wait to get home and give the new store a test drive.
SCEE all you need to do next is fix the Download List and (for me) xmb sort/group function especially for games, why there has never been a sort by Title for games is beyond me! :/
