lol.. Even based on these figures (albeit unreliable) the PS3 is set to outsell the Xbox 360 by over 500k a year and that’s not including the R.O.W, and we know who excels there! :)

@shadow2797 If you were sitting still you wouldn't sense depth from this 'traking' method as you would sitting still watching a 3D film or 3D Picture on a 3D TV.

Looks kind of cool, though I do see the following problems:-
A) The effect can only be seen by the 'single' person being tracked.
-Not so bad if you tend to game alone admittedly.
B) It's not 3D unless you move, i.e. you wouldn't see depth if you were sitting still like you would for 3D content on a 3D TV!
-Generally when I'm navigating a UI or playing a game I do so without wobbling my head about all over the place! :/

You try getting the type of graphics seen in Unchartered 3, Killzone 3, The Last of us, Beyond: Two Souls etc running on 2005 PC hardware with only 512mb of memory (not just GPU memory but GPU + System memory), I think you’d find that even if such a PC could run the games at all (which I doubt) it would be running them at like 10-15fps!..
Now if devs can do all that with just 512mb of total memory imagine what they can do with 4gb of GDDR5 or 8bg of...

Ads provide revenue to broadcasters who don’t earn money directly from their viewers / listener, in a similar manner to ‘free’ IOS and Android games. Why do MS think they can get away with serving up ads on a paid service, thereby getting two revenue streams?!?!

I half agree re rumors but im not sure Microsoft's investors would agree.
Windows is Microsoft's biggest earner and in light of PC's decline (like it or not it lits true-and that's coming from a PC gamer with 4 homebuilds under his belt), and the increase in demand and use of Android and IOS for people's day to day needs, they need to make PC and Windows mainstream and what better way to do than to bring in to the front room as an all in wonder box?
Or to summarise…. GAMES!
