pc tends to get less attention as Dev's tend to rely on raw hardware horsepower to do their job for them!

Agree entirely with the general consensus above ala Minato-Namikaze, marshow etc!..
Exclusives are a huge deciding factor on what console you buy or at least should be especially if you can't afford to buy both! (I wouldn't expect parents to subsidise a younger child living at home gaming on two consoles).
For me it was PS3 exclusives that made me decide to go PC/PS3 as it seemed the most sensible option.

So 360 outsells PS3 by 9.2k units per week in the US for the week ending 27 Aug.

PS3 outsells 360 by 28.2k units per week in Japan for the week ending 21 Aug.
So.. between US and Japan the PS3 outsells the 360 by 19k units per week or around 1m per year if annualised. Obviously this doesn't take into account Europe or spikes or troughs for either console.

I'm somewhere in the middle as in work takes up pretty much all my time + kids + wife etc but as you say I was a go out kinda kid too I hated staying in so in reality the time isn't that much different just that its now regular timnes i.e. after work / evening, rather than random times when I was a kid.
I do appreciate the time I play now more though.

Who at Turn 10 has proclaimed their love of cars from aged 3, years before they even knew what a games console was?

I'm assuming from this article and some of the comments that people have forgotten that many gamers own both a console and a gaming PC, especialy PS3 only owners as its a combination that makes sense!
I have drifted in and out of gaming mostly on PC to Console but BOTH makes most sense, there's too much to miss on consoles otherwise and sharp high definition graphics aren't the be all and end all of what makes a game good, not by a long sho...

I really don't think people realise the lengths PD go too to get realism into GT and the cars particularly and I mean as in mm accuracy on the cars and including fine details like handling, breaking, suspension, sound, lights.
Other dev's may make racing sims with great looking cars.. fair enough.. but does their love of the cars themselves drive them to attain such detail as Kazunori Yamauchi's does for GT?

I think today's devs are starting to realise that multiplats games CAN sell well on the PS3, so if they f*#k up then they'll be pissing off a large percentage of possible future game purchasers and that's not good business.
