@Vega75 lol and you my friend missed mine.. how is an article where a developer states 'x' consoles version of a game is going to be definitive comparable (including resultant comments wise) to an article stating (inferring in this case) that a developer says 'x' console is better than 'y' console??

Note re your comparison, I dont believe Carmack stated that the definative Rage version would be 360, in fact, unless I'm mistaken, he said:-
PS3 better in places with textures due to BD.
360 installed = PS3 from disc / partial install.
360 no install = worst version.
He is just commenting that he preferes / thinks that developing on the 360 is better / easier with a better Dev kit..

People said seeing the E3 'target render - trailer' that it wasn't possible on PS3 or indeed on console, but Guerrilla PROVED on KZ2's release that it was! In fact in some ways the final release was better than the 'target render' with the render having perhaps some slightly better animations/textures.

I can see that its visuals differ in places including the animations which look sketchy in places.. however if it does prove to be in all, in every aspect of what we class as graphically great*, better than UC2, then so be it, that’s a good thing for gamers, not bad! (assuming the game play is also good too.. as it is a game after all)

I'm a PS3 kinda guy but admit it looks good even if in a different style!
That said the proof is in the pudding so we'll see.. and think I just prefer the style of PS3 1st party games!

Running about killing things in GTA also cant be equated to levelling up in Final Fantasy and the like though suppose it the same in some ways..
In truth maybe they do.. seeing as kids these days expect stuff for free (see London Riots).
That said I think the price is great especially when compared to smart phone (no contract) / tablet prices!
Motion blur aside I'll have to check some of these mods out, though truth be told I'm not a proppa GTA fan as I tend to run about crazy-like for a while, lose the story/plot, and the game gets boring!..
That said I'll give it another shot (+ mod) plus some of the others seeing as a Steam deals means I have them all for a super bargin-bin price! :D

Whilst also including:-
Blu-Ray drive,
Built in WiFi,
Includes wireless blue tooth sixaxis motion sensing controllers (no batteries please),
Can process graphics over and above PS3 (16x AA and 16x AF) 60fps minimum,
Has games with production values on...

I was only stating that higher capicity discs of even 3+ layers are possible on PS3 in answer to your statement that they aren't: "The higher capacity discs require a more powerful laser that the PS3 does not have"
Whether they are required 'yet' is another thing of course, especially with current game sizes and with existing 50GB duel layer discs being utilised.

Actually higher capacity Blu-ray discs are possible for PS3 and current BD players with firmware updates. Hitachi even had a working proto-type for a quad layer 100gb disc compatible with PS3 back in 07 and Sony already know a way to increase data per layer to 33gb.
With Blue/Violet lasers PS4 could possibly release a console with 1TB duel layer discs.

@Kamikaze135 Answer me a question truthfully... can you just slip the PS2 disc in your PC and it runs the game straight off or does it take you some time tweaking the Emu settings to get everything running right?
Dolphin is the only Emu I've know to be pretty much hastle free and even then games took tweaking.
