Some nice mods here.. http://www.bit-tech.net/new...
I like this as well.. not sure why, just looks clean and neat though not entirely practical (space wise) http://www.geeky-gadgets.co...
The CES 2011 - Lenovo (case-mod) winners one was pretty...
My thoughts exactly.. have seen it done in insulating oil but even then its risqué.
This looks untidy and I'm not sure its kosha/working though it may well be I suppose!
True... but Sony is foremost, and prior to being a console maker, an electronics manufacturer > TV's, Audio.. as well as being in TV and film production/distribution > DVD's, Blu-Ray..
Many people who bought a PS3 will have bought a new HD tv (know I did) and also they're more likely to buy DVD's and more so Blu-Rays..
So when you take in the bigger 'picture'.. no pun intended.. I think they knew what they were doing! :D
Yes but an ati radeon 3600 on PC isnt limited like the 360 by 10MB of eDRAM which isnt enough to hold a 1080p image which is 16MB, or even a 720p image with AA so the 360 needs to tile the image, splitting the framebuffer and passing in to normal memory!..
Whether thats deemed 'true' 1080p.. I don't know!
True in that 360 does 1080p 'tiled'...
As far as I remember its down to the eDRAM, the Xenos GPU achieves large throughput due to the eDRAM but unfortunately the eDRAM @ 10MB isnt enough to hold a 1080p image @ 16MB, it is enough for 720p but even then only with no anti-aliasing.
To incorporate anti-aliasing simultaneously, resolution needs to drop to around 1024x600 or the frames need to be tiled, where the framebuffer is split into chunks and swappe...
Well... 'Alice: Madness Returns'.. £34.99 @ Origin and £29.99 on Steam!.. >_<
The Steam service isn't perfect, but its not far off! It's improved hugely over the years and I find its reliable, cheap, supported, and importantly IT WORKS its a service that has grown with the gamers and listened to what we've had to say!.. Not sure I can envisage the same from EA and Origin!
lmfao... these are the most entertaining comments I've read in ages... you all ROCK.. old and odd especially!. :D
Its comments like these here that make me glad I come to N4G and glad that I share the world of gaming with u'all! :)
*PeaceOut*
Yaayy.. for Jaap.. he rocks! :D
Bubs up for you.. something awesome.. and something true!..
LMAO.. that comment did make me chuckle.. I feel your pain.. haha..
And don't worry.. I'm older and most probably odder too.. :S
Edit: bubs up for makin me smile! :)
NO... the demand for online content already did that!!..
PSN Pass won't effect it... hopefully.. *crosses fingers*
BTW.. I am actually in favour of the PSN Pass (well its intent in rewarding developers and additional cost of upkeep of online content) though I'm not sure this is the best way to go about it...
And as an oldschool SP gamer .. I very much hope that doesn't go completly down the swanee either! :/
Thank you all above.. still haven't dived completly into the first and reviews (for I and II) have kinda put me off doing so..
Just goes to show you should judge your purchases on your own thoughts, instincts and taste and not on reviews!
*runs off to give it another shot* :D
Games with proppa online need more support, sometimes there are dedicated servers to cost in for example (though not enough imo).. < this costs.. 'MONEY' but when developers etc lose out to rental and used markets it makes it hard to support the online content long term!
The peoples demand for online gameplay has driven developers to give us just that and THIS is the result!.. Additional costs and less time spent on thorough SP content.. in a way we have made a rod...
Know what you mean.. re emu especially but having seen how well Dolphin works for Wii games even including Wii remote (motion and sensor bar) and seeing as MS are a software company its not beyond posibility!
This is what I posted a while ago when rumur first emerged, its still relevant here..
"Wouldn't supprise me, always imagined that MS were trying to converge Console Gamers and PC, and 360 is so close as to be a simple low spec gaming only PC :/
If they can get Console Gamers on to PC then its all good for them and shareholders as it will mean additional sales of Windows and thats where the money is. Its why MS havent bothered with 1st party studios.....
Ahh.. it would also make you a purchaser of Windows 8 along with some PS3 peeps who can't bring themselves to buy a 360..
This would make good buisness sense on MS part.. as software company whos largest income IS Windows!!
If true I would agree with @kevnb in part, because I wouldn't expect MS to spend RnD on a new console when the console buisness can be so fragile as the RROD and PSN outage have proven...
IMO this is something I al...
This is what "Uncharted' would look like on the 360 lol..
Sorry.. couldn't resist! :/
This IS NOT a clone!...
Saying its a clone inferrs it looks exactly like 'Uncharted'... and in no way is that the case! :/
I will not put myself through the tortue of watching the horrific animations, cliping and floating that was going on in this 'Game' ever again!!
@VampiricDragon would agree that the limit WILL be reached when developers have reached the limit of there own creativity and skill.. but not sure that is the case as yet!
I find that due to the restictive nature of closed hardeware (consoles) developers need to reach new hights of creativity and skill and that is why I like console gaming..
@TheLastGuardian2010 Alice: Madness Returns hugley piques my interest and I will, regardless of reviews, be buying ...
lol at the disagree.. Unless I have missed a global circular on what makes (The best Graphics) it remains 'opinion'!.. It's like disagreeing with what someone 'feels'.. i.e you can't.. it's how they feel! *full stop*
lol.. so true..
Calma, I'm believing in that philosophy more every day! :D
