Ah true true, not many people realise the old film reels came in at those sort of sizes but the cameras were limited so fidelity wasn't great.
I don't expect next gen PS to play 4k games but whether it'll support 4k film will depend on cost of same and Sony's intentions on other fronts (TV, Video Cameras, Cameras Etc)..
...Sony have always used the PS to push their intentions elsewhere i.e. CD / CD players, DVD / DVD Players, Blu-Ray / HDTV's...

Given that Sony are producing (albeit R&D) 4k televisions, I fully expect their new console will 'support' resolutions up to 4k which will no doubt then be re-digested by Fan-boys some months/years later as "Sony said the PSXX would play all games at 4k" at launch!

Each to their own and all that but SP is where it started for me and it remains at the heart of my gaming experiences.

As much as I'm a tad Sony fanboy'ish.. the title makes me want to defend the game as many devs had good things to say about what was done technically!
That said I realise that looks / engine(s) don't make the game.. but rather the imagination!
On that note.. I'm glad to see Rayman getting good reviews and I think that should have been there but it got kind of swamped which is a great shame.. for such a beautiful game!

I hate to be the party pooper as I kind of like the thought of it being MGS5 as everything is very Kijoma`y.. but I think its just a leaf curling as its time delay footage! :-/
EDIT: @GribbleGrunger below, I thought the same and my attention was drawn to it too but the footage is from a documentary and I think its just the time delay.. leaves change shape during the day due to heat / light especially foliage in jungles..
Of course that doesn't mean its not MGS...
Well THQ have recently said that Turtle Rock's next title would be revealed this month so its going to be at the VGA's regardless of whether it is the Sony exclusive in question or not (which seems unlikely with THQ as publisher as I assume the 'exclusive' is going to be published by Sony)!...

1) New IP - Kojima Productions
2) New IP - Sony Santa Monica
3) New IP - Turtle Rock (? on Exclusivity and slow reveal)
4) MGS5 - Kojima Productions
5) GOW5 - Sony Santa Monica

6) Left 4 Dead 3 - Turtle Rock (PS3 exclusive???)
7) Quantic Dream - New IP (given slow reveal me...
IDK.. I could kind of go with the Left 4 Dead 3 thing or a new IP from Turtle Rock Studios especially given below and the fact that the 'leaf' shots do look like Cry Engine 3 (not unakin in look to the new Fox Engine, hence confusion) but would you call Turtle Rock Studios "an absolutely amazing developer"?? Maybe to some but its not a developer that would come to my mind if someone said "an absolutely amazing developer" and I don't think it would to the 'm...

Thinking from a different angle maybe its located in the jungle (like the ants) and AWAY from the problems of big society!..
That would explain fox demo.. current leafy background on US PS3 blog, why Kojima was upset earlier in the year (he couldn't reveal at E3 etc but had to wait till now), and also why "we wouldn't believe", as a new game from Kojima that isn't MG5 would be pretty unb...
Whatever did happen to that Alan Wake'esk PS3 exclusive game that there was a clip of ages ago (man with torch) E3 I think?
On topic this wouldn't surprise me and as long as the Move support works well / is well intergrated well i'm sure it'll be fine.. assuming of course that its a good game in itself!

As mentioned by @PirateThom 1.1 did the PS3 not already come with HDD as standard?
And if one so wishes you can now swop out the HDD with one up to 1TB (non Proprietary) at a very decent price (floods forgiving)!!
