eBay is part of the problem. obvious resellers with this many stock needs to be banned from eBay but of course, they won't do anything about it because they get a cut. They're enablers for these shady ass tactics.

Wasn't Xbox relying on Halo as a its huge mega release game? And isn't Series X's whole multi-generational backwards compatibility thing being championed as something ground breaking? The difference here is that Sony is BUILDING on it's success and going further beyond what has been capable of. Xbox is relying on people still having old 360 and XB1 discs.

$10 increase is to be expected. Games now a days take years to make and are nearing cinema level quality. This is also why I still prefer physical copies. I can still rent and buy used.

I still love physical and I love steel books but honestly, 90%+ of my games collection across all platforms are digital. It's become inevitable at this point. I don't think the PS6 will even have a CD slot anymore.
Yeah, I don't get why the series S exists. Even if you don't have a 4K tv, spending $300 on a sub-4k console is just stupid. For just $100 more you get a far better deal. It's better to future proof for just a little extra. It just sounds like a console that is going to get discontinued two years later and everyone who bought one now has to spend more money for a Series X or whatever else from the alphabet that they'll throw out.
That's what strikes me as well. As long as the PS5 can play most of the PS4 games, that's alright with me. I barely have enough time to play most games now-a-days, I can't even fathom taking time to play PS3,2 or 1 games.
You could try to be more underground about it through various other forms of advertisement. To date, I don't think any of these "HD Projects" have ever come to fruition.
I just don't get why people broadly advertise these types of projects. They consistently get taken down by the publisher before they're finished. They may as well just paint a big red target on them for getting cease and desist orders. They should have just finished the project and immediately release it so there's no stopping it or at least the earliest form of it but at least it'd be finished for the most part.
So dumb, why would you compare games from actual game companies or developers with a proven track record? They have finished products. Whether it's bad or good, their products are finished 100%. Also investor money means accountability. Crowd Funded money? What accountability is there? There's no one to keep them on a leash, no accounting for any lost money, if the game eventually does release and bombs, they would have either lost all that money on actually development or it'll b...

@JustTheFax Sure it was manufactured by Mattel but it was a licensed product of Nintendo and it's only associated with Nintendo. If you ever brought up the Power Glove, people would think Nintendo, not Mattel and that's the point. Just because Nintendo's name is either on it or associated with it, doesn't mean it will sell well.
I'd understand PS2 and 3 but honestly, who the hell still has working PS1 discs?
