After being a PS3 owner for 2 and a half years and switching back to Xbox 360 exclusively for work reasons, I can safely say that the PS3 is definitely an extremely capable machine in the visuals and sound department.
Its exclusive games prove that, and there is no denying that PS3 exclusive titles are more than enough to prove that Sony wasn't just blowing smoke up everyone's asses when they said the system was a beast. It is.

I appreciate good looking games, but I appreciate more so the creativity, artistry, and attention to actor performance.
It takes many things lining up properly for a game to really come together and make a lasting impression on an individual. Fortunately, graphics isn't one of the more heavily-weighted portions of this equation. Lack of graphics excellence can be forgiven if other areas of the game are superb enough to really make the player consider the level of graphics present...
I love this generation of consoles. Besides unneeded amounts of DLC, I think the modularity and expandability of the current lineup of systems is something that could last pretty far into the future.

PC technology changes faster than most consumers can adapt. It'll be the ultimate downfall of the platform from a gaming aspect.
Last I checked, games aren't confined by the expectations of the minority. If that was the case, Call of Duty would be a military simulation squad shooter, not a run-and-gun FPS like it pretty much always has been and forever will be.
