with Home having trophies (achievements, essentially) and the Dual shock 3 RUMBLE controller coming out early 08....
your point is no longer valid.

@ 360 rules:
The PS3 and the 360 have the same amount of ram, dumba$$.
Don't try and say anything contrary to that.
If you do, you fail.
If Valve wasn't so f-cking lazy with the PS3 (thank Gabe Newell for that) th...

Most games don't even bring a profit unless it becomes a world-wide smash hit.
While graphical problems seem fixable, they aren't always dealt with by the time of release.
That's the sad truth.
I wouldn't put your money on them fixing every issue.
Also, keep in mind that the 360 is now entering its 3rd year (end of second year was last month), and I am wholly expecting a levelling-off of graphics for the system's games.
However, the PS3 is a full year behind, and yet was still able to hold somewhat of a candle...
Considering Capcom's superior PS3 development of THIS title, I wonder how Lost Planet will turn out for PS3.
Maybe after possibly seeing superior results on the PS3 development of Lost Planet, they felt that it was the way to go for future games?
Here's hoping!
jiggy's got a case of jealousy, if you ask me.
Obviously, you own a 360.
Seems maybe the 360 is starting to hit a glass ceiling in terms of graphical capability.
Unfortunate, to say the least.
** Ok jiggy, now you've hit a nerve.
4D Graphics- yeah where is that -----(DO you even know what 4D gaming is? 4D gaming is the progression of life over time....something only the PS3's cell processor can handle. It's the real-ti...
Please keep in mind that EA is not developing this game.
Criterion is.
Therefore it will not suck, multi-platform-wise.
I will have to say that the music is fantastic (from Lost Odyssey).
I can see how this is DEFINITELY comparable to a PS2 game.
Remove some of the light bloom, decrease some textures (only a little, because the textures suck horribly on everything except for character models)
MAYBE remove some of the geometry, and BAM!
A PS2 RPG!
The framerate seemed ok, but the sound was good.

Meus Renaissance, in all his intelligence and glory, thinks that something was ADDED to the second image.
When in fact...the lighting engine was stripped away.
HEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! ! !!!!!!!!!!!
Duh!
"However, here is a screenshot which compares the exact same scene - in typical Killzone 2 fashion, in darkness, with what seems like the implementation of a technique to add considerable lighting...
Obviously the post-processed image.
What, are you taking a survey and sending it to Geurilla Games?
Pa-Leeeeaase.
For YEARS I have been wanting a game that will use muzzle flashes to cast shadows correctly like they should!
When I'm standing close to a guy, and I fire my gun at him, I expect the muzzle flash to cast a big ass shadow behind him!
And I expect HIS gun's flash to create ANOTHER big friggin shadow behind him, just like it should!
This is going to be the first game to get my lighting FANTASIES right!
The first thing I'm gonna do with ...
I wanna see the sun peekie peekie!
Where's that screenie at, eh?
that this game is set on the home world of apocalyptic, evil, horrible, lightning-loving bastards known as Helghan, and it is DARK! EVIL! BROODING!
It's called ATMOSPHERE, people!
With a dark setting, you can use light to make for some very rich and striking detail. (Doom 3, anyone?)
The first image is AFTER post-processing.
The second image is SANS (without) -post-processing.
Please, no more xbot posts about an incomp...
My news tip here clearly explains the divx situation in regards to the media stuff.
http://www.n4g.com/industry...
wow, someone sure knows how to make assumptions! congratulations!
If it was on blu-ray, quite a bit of the data would be dumped to the Hard drive, allowing for less data needing to be loaded in-game.
Anyways, a 12X dvd drive is only slightly faster at transferring data than a 2X blu-ray drive (which is in the PS3).
The load times WITHOUT HDD caching would probably be only 3 to 5 seconds longer.
With hard drive caching, many games' lo...
This article is just plan IDIOCY.
L-O-Freaking-L
and the ps3 makes you do that? (run wires and crap?)
Not!
Just pop the divx content onto a flash drive or whatever, copy them to your ps3, and voila! Instant access to your content whenever you like without the need for a PC or streaming of anything!
Oh, and as for YouTube...
you can watch them from the PS3's web browser...but you don't care...you'd rather stream the youtube video from your pc which has ITS web browser on youtube!
...
are you dumb or something?
Streaming IS external!!!!!!!!
STREAMING TAKES VIDEO OR AUDIO FROM **** SOMEWHERE ELSE **** (whether that's a CD a DVD a flash drive or a windows pc....whatever it is, it's not coming from your 360) AND PLAYS IT ON YOUR MACHINE!
Jesus y christo....don't try and refute me when you haven't the faintest clue about what you speak.
YES!!! the 360 CAN stream DIVX!!!!
BUT YOU CAN'T COPY DIVX TO THE H...
But it's one step forward, and two steps back for microsoft.
They add support for DivX, but it's by external means only.
doesn't really have ports, because the games were developed for that system.
So far, the games that were developed on the PS3 and are being ported to the 360 have been superior.
DMC 4 ps3 is looking superior to the 360 version...
Burnout is being lead developed on the PS3, therefore being better...even the developers say so...
Port = game developed for another system, then brought over to your system.
