Hopefully flash memory's reliability problems when being read / written to / from on a constant basis have been rectified....or this'll be a disaster.

the PS3 version does stutter...but not as glaringly so as reviewers have made it out to be.

Remember, people, this is EA's fault, not the fault of the PS3.

Valve chose to hand off the development because they were too lazy to perform parallel processing optimizations for the PS3.

Funny, how recently, Valve has been going on and on about how the Source engine is getting support for multi-threaded processing.

Well....the PS3 and 360 ar...

in the Conflict series.

They are just lackluster shooter after lackluster shooter.

Meh.

Time for them to prove themselves.

look like as of the unreal engine 3, the 360 can perform deferred rendering.

So, I think we should see some deferred shading to accelerate the dynamic lighting in R6 V2!

Maybe we can see a little more realistic approach to the lighting after all!

After seeing a game like Killzone 2 that has around 500 dynamic lights in a level....seeing a game like ranbow six vegas, or any other shooter for that matter....makes me wanna puke.

When will game developers understand that light makes the scene?

With a city like Vegas and all those damn lights.....I would put much focus on creating an engine that can handle lots of dynamic lights....and global illumination.

Now THAT would make a game like R6: veg...

Evil.

Pure Evil.

Two kids beating on a poor little child...both of those kids should be locked away for at least 15-20 years and have serious psychological evaluations.

Also, their parents should be taken into custody and questioned seriously regarding their actions and their pasts.

This is horribly disturbing.

Sickening, even.

and I do notice that the computer responds a little more quickly to program launching...the OS in general seems a little snappier.

Nice!

And we are NOT carrying HD-DVD in response to lackluster Blu-Ray sales / rentals.

We are continuing to carry HD-DVD due to contract obligations with HDDVD-supporting studios. Once those contracts expire....good-bye HDDVD.

Employee # 12053690

By the way, we stock FAR less HD-DVD titles. Our BLu-Ray section is approximately 3 times larger (approx. 120 blu-ray titles...40 to 50 HD-DVD) than the HDDVD section, and our advertisement on our stores is for BLu...

Any performance increase for my 1.3GHz laptop is appreciated. I like super-quick web page rendering. I have a super-fast connection....now to get the computer performance to match, eh!

Divx files I have downloaded so far from Stage 6 (some of my favorites):

WarCraft III Orc Campaign Ending cinematic

StarCraft II Cinematic Trailer

Bunch of Rammstein music videos

This cool electronica music video with robots dancing...lol

and this awesome CGI alternate WW II thing with these giant Nazi and American robots fighting

And many more to come!

=D

FTW = For The Win.

To download a video from stage 6 you must replace the url with -

http ://video.stage6.com/VIDEONUMBE R/.divx

The video number is the 6 or 7 number digit that's in the movie's URL.

Then, you select the storage destination, and watch the video once downloaded.

You always make the most arrogant, boneheaded, looking-into-a-crystal ball-ish, airheaded, bird-brained, self-righteous statements I have ever seen in my life.

You know nothing of the future, and to say that you do, is a farce.

**oh btw Engineer....you're a comedic genius. Absolutely priceless.

I'm not even going to read all the comments....

This is such B.S. and grasping at straws it's not even funny.

Notice the operative words ONE......SMALL.....INDEPENDENT ????

That in and of itself absolutely erases all credibility from a wide-market standpoint.

This article sucks.

Also, why am I seeing articles predicting Xbox 360 sales growth all over the PS3 section?

Isn't that just a little bit f*cking ...

HAHAHAHA YES!

This game should be called...

PULL YOUR F*CKING HEAD OUTTA YOUR @SS

The 360 and PS3 have IDENTICAL amounts of memory!!!!!!!

In fact....there is a hard drive in EVERY playstation 3, and developers could and SHOULD use the hard drive space for data caching.

EA chose to be lazy@sses on The Orange Box. That's THEIR problem.

I am sick and tired of stupid f*cking idiots saying the 360 has more memory or more this or more that....it doesn't, ok?

Can't you...

I'm not being nitpicky....

A f*cking tree doesn't f*cking explode when it hits a f*cking house!

There, is that better for ya'?

The developers want to achieve realism....so therefore they need to make it so TREES don't make WALLS explode!

Am I getting through yet?

6604d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Now that just pissed me off when I saw the tree fall on the roof of the house....and it exploded....

(3:06 and 3:13, both in bottom video)

What the hell?

Trees don't explode on contact with roofs!

They better fix that.

Everything else is spectacular, though. Well done and bravo to this new entry in the Battlefield series.

money should be no object when it comes to making something that will affect someone's life.

That's what developers are trying to do, right? Affect our lives in amazing ways, by showing us that creativity really does have no limit?

I would be willing to spend my entire life's fortune, and then some, to create something that would affect a person's life in a positive way.

I think it's good that only big companies with lots of competitive, creative m...

I think the advances in graphics are essential for providing the correct atmosphere and convey the correct message to the gamer.

Art direction (similar to set direction in films) is a key component that is most definitely aided by increasingly real visuals.

Take saving private ryan, for example.

Without the advances in surround sound, visual effects, and props.....Stephen Spielberg wouldn't have been able to convey the horrible, bloody, nauseous at...
