Infinite has an awesome opening, especially when you in retrospect after the ending.
That intro is pure gold.
Fun thing is that i often consider ME1 to be the best game in the series, but its two main missions, Feros and Noveria, are actually really boring the second time you get to them. I just love the intro, the Citadel, Virmire and the final mission enough to ignore what didn't work in the game.
Developers ready to fail and be shut down for next-gen:
Capcom *CHECK*
Alright let's list hose in the order they were made in.
Okami = Last gen.
Ace Attorney = I personally love it, but it feels like a 7/10 type of game.
Monster Hunter (3) = Not as popular in the west as in JPN.
Ghost Trick = Awesome, but overlooked.
Asura's Wrath = The ending and DLC :/
Dragon's Dogma = Too big with too little.
Yup i love some of these games, but with the latter titles it shows how greedy Capcom have b...
So next gen will totally be "pay to press on the buttons"
The fact that the PS4 can probably have games using the LA Noire face tech but even sharper and more detailed is just awesome. I can only imagine how immersive a game like that is gonna be. Unless the actors start making retarted facial expressions as in LA Noire :P
Ambivalent on this one. I don't want to give Bioware ideas with this, but it would be cool. I actually fear that this is what ME4 will end up being, or something similar at least.
A little off-topic: ME3 had so much autodialogue, so i fear that the next game will be even more action and more railroading.
Honestly i don't really dig the graphics. ALttP imitating artstyle in 3D... doesn't really cut it for me. If i wanted a top-down view game, i'd rather have it be pixely and 2D.
This reminds me of what i thought was a bummer in all of Mass Effect 3 (ending aside). You are no longer choosing character-defining dialogue choices, but you are making the choices that mean something. To me that's worse than in ME2 where you chose almost every line of dialogue spoken by your character, because it gave you the possibility to completely shape his personality. Whether a choice was about morality didn't really matter for me. It was all about shaping the character to fit...
My wireless network setup crashes every now and then whenever i'm running P2P connections, so no. Always-on would be a reason for me not to buy a Nextbox.
If adding backwards compatibility meant sacrificing other hardware functions or higher pricing then i'm happy they didn't. I have a PS3 with loads of games on it, and i can still play that whenever i want to.
I feel like this is the truth, and i'm in denial.
I just think the Wii was a natural next step for innovation because we've all dreamt about playing games with VR tech, and we wanted to feel like we were actually in the game, and that was how they came up with the idea for the Wii Remote, wheras the idea for the Wii U tablet seems like ripoff of their DS.
I don't dislike the Wii U concept, but i don't consider it to be interesting enough for me to to buy a console for it.
I so want to have another game like that. The wonder of discovering the new world and the conflicts exist between species was just amazing. That's one reason i'm exited for future Mass Effect but also concerned that they might go away from that vibe as they did with ME3.
Even if it's good, i just don't think it will be as good as the previous titles. Halo 4 was worse than Halo 2 and Halo 3, and Sly 4 is worse than Sly 2 and 3, at least in story IMHO.
Ever since that PS4 unveiling i've seen nothing but win-comments from Sony! They have a lot more passion compared to MS or Nintendo nowadays!
And here's one reason why they probably wont. "Mass appeal"
It should've been the standard in this gen, but obviously developers want to push envelopes, so we'll likely see most games running 30fps again.
1. Mass Effect 2
2. Dead Space
3. InFamous
4. Half-Life 2
5. Amnesia
6. Sly 2
7. Hotel Dusk
I love every single one of these.
