X is a game for weaboos.
The 2D castlevanias? Does he mean the only good Castlevanias? Those are gonna be permanently replaced by shitty 3D games?
"...because barely anyone has it and the sense of exclusivity gives me satisfcation"
The only reason they don't do that is because it might not be as profitable with the small install base of the Wii U. They need to release some really high-quality products to sell systems but unlike the Wii, the Wii U doesn't appeal in itself so Nintendo ain't gonna waste too much money making too many games for it.
I seem to recall Reggie saying to Sony. "You've got petty hardware... where are the games??"
Well, joke was always on you Reggie.
Title should've read "why has multiplayer gotten antisocial".
The problem is that devs make online-only and no split-screen MP rather than having both so games are harder to enjoy when you're visiting friends locally nowadays. The online MP itself is just getting more and more accessible for friends AFAIK.
Ken Levine gets way too much attention.
I wouldn't say there's much of a "mainstream" appeal to movies that has fetus cannibalism. At this point, the movie industry is actually quite similar to gaming. The masses go to see the big bang of the summer while the more sophisticated films that might be less action-y and more artistic often end up being viewed by a lesser target-audience than the mainstream. Obviously the big superficial action-epic is gonna be much more in line with what kids and families can endure to...
Agreed, but Sonic Colors, you know ^^
Some are just too stuck up to accept that Boom is not your regular Sonic. No chaos emeralds is something they do because it doesn't always make sense to have them.
AFAIK BRB Entertainment spent a lot of time considering various things in collaboration with Sega before they were dead-set on anything. I doubt they just removed chaos emeralds without a reason.
Some are just way too afraid of changes, and TBQH Sonic Boom is hardly as big of a makeover as DmC ...
Not to mention it looked like absolute sh** on PS3. I stopped playing it because it was low-res and the framerate made it severely unenjoyable... and the story was also quite the turnoff.
But Co-op was amazing :-P
That would be cool. It's like a non-fighting version of Smash Bros.
BUT, Don't fill E3 up with it, like with Nintendo Land. It'll be SUCH a bore.
I'm still mostly excited for the story-portion of this RPG though. Witcher 2 was fantastic, and while I expect this to have a different vibe somewhat, I still have high expectations that it will be as well-written as TW2 was for the most part. I hope it delivers!
Good luck, then.
This has to one of the worst lists I've ever read. Half of it can't even be applied to movies or books.
I think it's much better than what Uncharted did to gaming at least, but I still hope we'll see more developers pursuing their own innovations than those constant ripoffs of TLoU's structure that will inevitably appear in the coming years.
I really miss when cutscenes in games were just cutscenes though. Nowadays they always try to blend it, so suddently, the camera moves aback, you lose control but the game tries to make you think you're still playing.
He needs a LONG break after Smash 4 IMO. I don't want his gaming career to ruin his health because of his injury.
Trying to sell a mainstream hit on a console that no mainstream-gamer has.
"How to not be succesful" ~ Nintendo.
Except Colors.
@Abash which is also why I didn't like the story of UC3. They were always going for the Indiana Jones-y vibe and the comments about Drake and his goals and the means he went through felt way too meta and unfitting for the tone.
