If it wasn't for monthly fees I would have. Its the whole reason I have never liked MMO games. I hate the idea of paying for a game repeatedly when I can just pay once for others

Funny you say that, your attitude sucks yet my rig is most likely more powerful than yours that puts you in a 'master race' apparently

You make PC gamers look bad, and should learn to appreciate tech. All of the available systems right now have their own set goals and hit them damn well, if you knew better why aren't you running the company?

Exactly, A lot of people seem to forget that not only have they made a lot of bad PS3 versions of games. But even the last Elder Scrolls game on PC never even got fixed fully, they got to a point and then stopped and left modders to fix it.

Its unlikely to be fixed at all

Agreed, Jaffe seems to actually take the extremely uncommon business approach. Where he puts customer satisfaction and communication above general marketing in his personal time, and relies on that generating a sale, rather than forcing it down said persons throat.

Obviously he does market his games, but in his personal time he seems to use this approach instead.

it will play games through all this (console) gen easily. Sure you wont be maxing the big hitters but you will still get higher settings than other options, other than buying a better setup anyway

you should, even the old games from this gen can still look pretty sweet on PC today. Currently playing the original mass effect and it looks fairly nice considering how horrid it looked on 360, Some impressive lighting too. Plus the interface allows the game to be a lot more tactical.

Thanks to steams christmas sale I picked up about 20 of my favourite oldies of this gen for a couple of pounds a go. Those will keep me busier than the majority of upcoming releases could and ...

The editor is basically a tech noob. All 3 of his first complaints are not forced. you can change all of those in the options. The last 2 complaints are just childish. Not being able to skip the DRM (which is a nice simple DRM method) And not being able to 2 launch two games at once? how is that even necessary?

Even his complaint about changing install directories is pointless. Maybe he should have installed steam to a drive with some more room

Just a heads up, if by that you mean the knight with red glowing eyes. your not supposed to kill him until much much later in the game

You know im almost drunk enough to in the new years spirit. But it would kind of screw me over at some point in the month. You were so close!

If I could gift you my already used copy on steam I would. I'm actually quite bored of it now personally. It just feels likes a slightly better oblivion

These sales finally helped me get a scroll bar for my library

Actually having issues with Assassins Creed 2 myself. When in doubt use a cache integrity check, right click the chosen game > properties > local files > verify integrity of cache.

If it downloads anything afterwards then a bit of your game was missing. If not, go to the steam forums and look for other threads about similar issues

seems to be the emptiest day to me so far. Hopefully New Years will come with a few better deals

Lot of people been waiting on that serious sam discount. These christmas deals have helped me get almost every game left on steam that I wanted

I see no problem with it. I like having a physical collection but there comes a point where the collection becomes too big. Most of my games now are digital downloads and it has saved me a lot of physical space. It has saved me money through steam as well. Once PSN and XBL prices start to hit the right point too, I think people will really take to it. Though I feel for now we need some physical media available as not everyone can get internet with an acceptable speed for downloading such larg...

Although both engines are great, and I agree that Frostbite 2 is better. I feel neither of these engines are a great example of what we could expect. The way tesallation is used is questionable, In all current games it focuses most on rounding objects whereas it can actually change the entire look of an area while rounding when utilised properly. And there are people who know how to do it properly, so why they never ask them is beyond me

Dx11 isn't entirely smooth yet though. I happened to be on when this build was leaked last and decided to benchmark it. the FPS increase was reasonable but clearly they have more tweaking to do. However the stutter is actually gone this time so that is a start.

As usual with and without PhysX it still wont hit 60 FPS at any point with DX11 features on high, whereas I know my system will. I'm pretty glad to hear this wasn't the finished build since I was hoping for...

Usually I would disagree, but in this case I can't. The concept sounds fantastic, Kind of like minecraft I know but it's not as if it will share any more similarity than that.

My main wish is split screen co-op. My girlfriend would love a go on this game in co-op
