I agree that the story was somewhat enjoyable, however It certainly lacked the humour I expected.
As for SR, I found the first to be the best of them all so far whe it comes to single player. SR3 is so unrealistic the fun has been taken out, I preferred when cars handled less like RC cars.
So really I prefer the new directions of GTA, maybe not for the story so much, but things such as euphoria really add and emphasis on the game. when you crash through 20 pe...
Personally I am bored of the old style of ass creed gameplay because it was never executed properly, the new one could be more interesting to me personally. But the rushed out games over the past years have been really unnecessary. AC:B and AC:R provided little expansion to the gameplay system of which I personally have felt for a long time would have worked better next gen.
In that sense it is actually a bit of a shame it is being changed drastically as I would have liked t...
I'm guessing I am the only one, but I think I have yet to see a sex scene in a game that really felt necessary. To me it always feels shoehorned in.
It's not that I can't appreciate a bit of a love story in a game, But more that I have played plenty of RPG games with a really strong love theme yet didn't have a sex scene. Nowadays I find a lot of the love stories in games are hardly even fleshed out, so the sex scene seems to be there to try and excuse that an...
Well now that was a big change in title wasn't it. Let me guess troll for hits then switch it after you garner the attention you wanted right?
I agree, I find this with both consoles at the moment, However I blame it on the drought of interesting games coming out. It kind of feels like we're just stringing it along until next gen now
As much as I agree the franchise is very good, Revelations wasn't great to me, A lot of things seemed chucked in for the hell of having a games worth of stuff. But overall it was boring, Brotherhood was much better, however 2 remains my favourite.
I find with AC that the setting is more important than anything else, and in 2 the setting was the best so far, Rome was good but way too much flat ground for the design of the game
thing is that early tech demo actually shows just how good alan wake could have been. However as you probably noticed, a lot of the features of that video are not possible on the current day consoles.
For instance the tornado and its destruction would need to be scripted. I personally don't think alan wake caved on its design for story reasons. I don't think it was possible this gen, and as much as I hope it is possible next gen I have a funny feeling that such featur...
I normally wouldn't respond to such a comment but just so you know, supercomputers are humongous, much bigger than a PC, or a TV, in fact you would have trouble fitting one in your living room. So no, no Sony product is or ever will be a supercomputer.
I love Sony products but seriously people, you need to brush up on tech before commenting about it
lol really? 4k rez at 300FPS? would that be with games in DX11?
You do realise you would need something like this to make that possible right?
http://www.cray.com/Product...
Seriously I have no idea where you get the idea of 4k at 300FPS from. You think your eyes would even be able to register a full 300FPS?
@cgoodno
Damn those mod bubbles look good, but seriously that is the most intelligent theory I have heard so far. A lot of people seem to be taking to the idea of it being done to sell us extra endings. But yours actually makes much more sense.
I remember not long ago, Bioware put a message out telling people to keep a hold of their game saves for ME3 hinting there would be more, Now if we could swing the world in massively different directions due to our cho...
No offence but I hate people who seem to think they get to be the judge of whether someone is disappointed enough to request a refund. I will not be returning my copy, However trying to ascertain some level of self entitlement isn't what its about anyway. Its about being disappointed in the product the person purchased. If they want their money back let them ask, Don't ridicule them for it. Such actions just encourage large business' to do what they want and stuff the customers op...
Although I personally haven't voiced my opinion about the game much, and I would also rate it higher than 0, I will say that to me at least, the game is so vastly different that I have received very little enjoyment from it thus far.
To me the small amount of dialogue choices is just abysmal, the fact that talking to your team on the ship rarely allows you to even enter the conversation setup and rather hits you with one line of dialogue while still fully under standard c...
Apple will damage the casual gaming industry as soon as the Apple sheeple finally get sick of paying half a months wage for a new phone every 6 months, just so they can play the latest game on it.
The exact same reason that they will never even dream of touching the big three. No console gamer is going to switch to buying new hardware every few months, otherwise we wouldn't even have the money to buy any damn games
Looking forward to your ME3 review, unlike a lot of user reviews at N4G you seem to give the games a fair chance in all fields and I am quite interested to know what side of the fence your opinion of the changes from 1-3 will fall on.
Keep up the good work
I think your review is well written however I personally feel you have marked the game pretty low for the few shortcomings you listed. I haven't had too much time with the game myself yet, however you state that the load times are only a few seconds and then mark it down for long load times?
Also with the low score you have given it doesn't seem as if you covered the flaws of the game effectively enough to warrant the low score. I don't mean I feel the game deserv...
I'm not defending the guy here, but out of curiosity what actually makes a PC fanboy? See I game on all systems and enjoy all of them, but for some reason even when I say something on N4G like "Batman AC looked awesome on PC" I usually get told I'm a fanboy.
Like I said not defending, tbh he portrayed himself as perhaps a little arrogant about the PC version. But one observation I have made since my time on N4G is often even just liking PC gaming as well as ...
Considering you just passed off donating to a children hospital as a cover up method, and then tried to claim you are a carer for the disabled...You really aren't classy, In fact you sir are a total prick. I Actually work as a carer, and if anyone tried to donate 80k to any of the hospitals that I have been to, and seen some people in some really horrible situation, I would be kissing their feet for eternity.
The fact you see donating to a hospital as some sort of cover s...
Seems they took your advice, Personally though I couldn't care much for the store anyway, I feel for anyone who is out of a job, A friend of mine worked there until today too. But other than that the company was vile and poisonous to the industry in the UK. GAME group PLC have been responsible for paying large sums for exclusive content many times. Without them there's actually a chance that may be available to the supermarkets instead now, which happen to charge around £5-£...
actually they did, if you are going to talk down to the long time fans, please have some actual facts to back it up. Pretty early on in the development of Mass Effect 3 the developers stated in a video interview, that the biggest difference between developing ME2 and ME3 was that in 2, it was never intended to be the end, so your actions could only have limited consequences, whereas with development of the 3rd game, they could have much more drastic consequences for your actions. NONE of this...
Your probably pretty right there. Let's be honest, unless you already know about the studio or the genius of the games they make then there really isn't going to be much to entice you to try it other than reviews.
Had I not known of them I would have passed it off as another shallow PSN game.
