Out of curiosity, What more did you want?

Personally I found the stormcloak guy to be very selfish, Talking about freedom and the people yet with no consideration of the aim or goals of the Imperials. Found him a bit dictator-ish to be honest, So I went Imperial. But it really highlights how well these factions were set apart

It certainly is very strange, one of the strangest things is I remember oblivion having self shadows in the options list but this time it is completely missing from it and turned off by default. Even more bizarre is it has only a very small performance impact

We are NOT a master race lol. Wish that damn stuff would die out so we PC gamers would get a bit less stick. We're only here to game after all. Honestly though it isn't that costly, in the UK it will cost you a ton to set up a PC but prices in the US are much better for parts

Strange, I enjoy both, loving Skyrim right now and will pounce on FFXIII-2 when it releases too. To be honest I have a broad taste with FPS included. Just very few FPS games are even remotely interesting nowadays. Bioshock and Far Cry 3 are the only ones I can name that I really want. Its not even FPS quantity that's the issue. It's the generic story arch they follow

I switched to controller. I just can't do M+K on this game because it just doesn't feel right. Oddly enough I had none of those troubles with Oblivion

How low have you seen them go on console? I noticed on PC I would have drops right down to 30 in certain towns on a pretty high end card. I always played all the others and was thinking of getting the console version for some night time gaming in bed. But if the drops are bad then I probably will just get SR3 instead

The only mod I really care for right now is a mod for increased tree and grass draw distance. Anything other than the common trees is drawn rather close and if you get a view from a big hill or such then any open plains tend to look very gamebryo

Other than that maybe a few increased immersion mods. Perhaps a mod so you need to eat and drink to survive (kind of like New Vegas) and a mod where not resting in a bed causes your overall stamina bar size to decrease day by day. I ...

Thing is that kind of isn't of maxed out details anyway. I have it maxed at the moment, but to get there I needed to turn on self shadows for trees and rocks in the .ini then also add a few bits of code to make the water reflections HD.

Also strangely the MeshLODLevel1 and MeshLODLevel2 values were wacked out at about 100000.0000 so that was causing texture and shadow flicker issues and needed correcting. If you are going to be playing it on PC I suggest you have a look a...

Not a massive difference, The best advantage easily comes from being able to increase draw distances. Anyway what am I doing on here? Back to Skyrim!

This modder has some serious talent to get this into a game of this age, it also goes to show just how capable the Original CryEngine actually was

Either way you still pay for the DLC so I honestly don't see a difference. It's just a marketing trick to make it seem like you are getting a good deal while really you are still paying a substantial price for little benefit. Only when you consider the groundwork of the game and then the little work required to add the DLC does the price really start to look so expensive

Except there is only 2.5 Million people on Steam right now, of which 42,485 are currently playing skyrim. This is the Uk release by the way, The game looks fantastic other than a small pop in issue due to the distance backs of trees are occluded at

Actually I am pretty sure the Australian PC copy is live anyway. People have been using VPNs to get a leg up all day. Here in the Uk it is only an hour away so I am pretty sure its live over there

Just waiting on the unlock myself. 1 and a half hours now providing it all runs smoothly

It is one of my most replayed games of this gen, even if there is nothing left to do in the game, I still enjoy going back and brushing up on my running skills in hope that one day the sequel gets here.

Here's to hoping it's a free roam game next time. Also how did I lose a bubble I haven't been commenting for a few days and bam it's gone lol

True, I actually have The Witcher 2 so really should know better lol. I think the monitor confused me since, well to be honest with the guy running a 580 I imagined he would at least have a 1080p monitor with how cheap they are in comparison

How would it have Ultra when its only DirectX 9?

Just high would do me anyway, I wouldn't say no to better graphics though. 7 Hours till the Steam unlock so will find out soon enough

Edit: Actually it appears to have ultra. But most disturbingly, Why has he chosen that resolution on a GTX 580? Unless its optimised horridly that card should max the settings at 1080p with power to spare

It is needed. It even utilises Origin on consoles confirmed via the leaked 360 build
