I was calling this over a month ago when anti-Nintendo fanboys and haters were banking and celebrating on the low NPD sales forecast.
I said "There was plenty of interest in the Wii U and people were just waiting for game." "On the week that Lego City and Monster Hunter Tri come out, sales are going to spike for the Wii U." It happened 100% as common sense predicted.
So long as Nintendo brings the games that people want to play, they have ...
Is that supposed to be joke? EA went no where for the Wii U. EA didn't make this game. Criterion made this game.
EA went out of their way to make sure it didn't sell by pricing it at 3 times what the others cost, and then even went to far as to cut their own proprietary Origin copy's prices in half on launch day to get the full profits for themselves and shortchange all of the retailers and eshop purchasers who had to pay the price EA forced everywhere else.
Techically(going from what Neogaf has found) the Wii U CPU should actually be more poweful for games than the 360's CPU, because 1 and 1/2 or possibly even 2 of the 3 cores of the 360's processor are unusable for games. They are used to process the sound, music and the OS. The Wii U has a DSP, like you said, and an ARM coprocessor for those things.
For them to properly use the Wii U's CPU they would also have to rewrite the code to spread the instructions evenly a...
Its just downloaded it last night. Its two months late but I suppose its better than nothing. Now I can continue the game.
@In the lab First off, the reason I used those games was because they were also on the PS3/360 and they sold more on the Wii than on those console.
Second. No More Heroes was Suda 51's best selling game on a single console ever till this day. Suda 51 had a party to celebrate it because it was such a huge success. How is that bombing?
Third. Wii development cost was a fraction of what it was for the 360/PS3. The average cost of developing a major Wii game ...
Exept for No More Heroes 1 and 2, Resident Evil Umbrella/Darkside Chronicles, House of the Dead Overkill, etc
Console sales walk hand and hand with game release dates.
People are looking at it from the wrong angle. The Wii U started with a bunch of games, then the games dropped off pretty quickly. Its all about the games.
Lego City and Tri Ultimate were the first retail games released for the Wii U in 3 months. The fact that it sold as well as it did under the circumstances is amazing to me and tells a different story than what people are trying to paint. For people ...
No. The Wii U is in no real trouble. It just needs games as has been said by most who are knowledgeable about the situation and related ones since January.
Games sell consoles. Whenever a big game gets released for the 360 or PS3, the console sales spike. I have no doubt in my mind that the next week number for the Wii U after the release of Lego City, Monster Hunter 3G Ultimate and Most Wanted will spike.
When the Wii U gets a steady stream of games it will ...
This is a complete and total lie. Facts everywhere say completely different. The only console to have a better launch than the Wii U was the Wii.
Seriously, people can't seem to comprehend this.
Its like they actually expect the PS4 and Durango to pull "current" 360 and PS3 numbers from launch onwards.
The hate Iwata gets around the web is how we know he is doing a good job, because the people who hate are anti-Nintendo.
He has pushed Nintendo to new heights at every turn. This will be no different in the end. They survived 2 gens without much support Electronic Arts. EA will need Nintendo before Nintendo will need EA.
Second, EA is a western dev. The best games on Nintendo console and in general, in my opinion, don't come from the west.
Logically, they will just get the 3rd party games from everywhere else.
EA isn't the entirety of third party developers. Nintendo was fine without there support during the GC and Wii era. They will be fine during this one.
Honestly, Nintendo should "ban" EA from releasing anything on the console. They cause nothing but harm with their terrible, sub-par, overpriced ports
You do know that the Wii U Gamepad primarily uses a stylus right?
Not precise enough? The Wii U gamepad is almost needle point precise. I say almost because I haven't actually poked my screen with a needle to test it and don't plan to.
GDDR5 is actually slower than DDR3 for system based features.
Its sad the way people raise GGDR5 to such a godlike level like its some godly hardware when it isn't just because its in the PS4. GDDR5 has become the new Cell. The new god machine for them.
Nintendo doesn't make advanced wars, they just publish it and own the i.p.
Intelligent Systems makes Famicom/Advance Wars. Also, the title is usually based on the system its own so this will likely be 3D wars if and when it is made.
I would rather Intellegent Systems continue to do their own thing rather than listen to some fanboys desires. They are an innovative developer and I want them to stay creative.
I know that I and a "LOT" of other people had planned to buy it at the end of February and now none of us intend to buy it all.
You can spin that however you like.
No Nintendo fan expects Rayman to sell system because they don't want it "anymore".
Pikmin wasn't a Wii game. It was GC game. Both were hits on the GC. The one on the Wii was just an easy port so it was pure profit. 50k sales would have made money with it and it sold more than that.
The average Wii U user is anticipating Bayonetta 2 a lot more than then the PS3 and 360 user anticipated Bayonetta 1. This game will not have competition from s...
They are to angry and can't think of anything to say, so they are just hammering us with disagrees and bubble downs instead.
