I was expecting an even lower score from IGN. They hate anything that isn't the same as what they are used to.
So the way the comments sections works on this site now is as follows.
Bash/insult/ridicule Nintendo = massive agrees.
Say even .5% positive statement = massive disagrees

I wasn't expecting a good opinion from Kotaku. They were one of the ones who clambered to get every negative rumor and comment they could find on their site.

Unless you want the PS3 to have around the same performance as the Wii U then it is going to be a good few hundred dollars higher.
Why are PS3, 360 and PC reviews of Black Ops in the Wii U sections but Wii U reviews omitted from the other sections? I find that odd.

You ever hear of the classic controller? Its been there since the Wii released. The Pro controller is just the another redesign.
Its no more a response to any BS released by Microsoft and Sony than it was 6 years ago. Its just a Super Nintendo controller with functionality added from the Gamecube controller. Nintendo redesigned it to the Classic Controller Pro which look more like the GC controller. The Wii U was actually using the Classic Controller Pro(pictured in dev kits)...
That is not a reaction. At least not to MS. Last I checked, apps were an asset of smart phones and Nintendo has been using them since the DSi.
Nintendo already had a network back with the GC. It was only used for one game series at that time though. They used it more for the DS and even more than that for the Wii.

The industry came into existence without Sony. It thrived without Sony, and as the this generation comes to a close with Sony in last plays, it has become clear that Sony is not a necessity for gaming nor have they ever been.

Things like aliasing, and frame rates are not set in stone. The same with resolution. No matter how good a game looks with those things, you will be able to make one look better at lower setting.

The two Wii U bottleknecks you speak of are the slower CPU and slower RAM. Problem with this is that the PS3 has faster RAM than the 360 and a much stronger/faster CPU, but it runs worse than the 360 and the Wii U version.

We know that it can run things better than the 360/PS3 from the few devs who have actually put in the needed effort. Insisting on faulting the Wii U for lazy/bad ports while not looking at any other factors is a clear sign of fanboyish console bias.

Fact, for a fact, is that we know that the Wii U has a stronger and more capable GPU. You can sight RAM speeds, CPU and anything else you want without knowing how the game uses them when its convenient to slam the console, but that doesn't translate into graphics.
