The xbox CPU runs at 1.6 Ghz and is rated at 3.2 GHz only when multi-threading
The need for CPU's in gaming have been reduced a tremendously since the age of voodo gfx.
Most of the work in modern games is done on the GPU. CPU is only used for rudamentary things, A.I. and physics given that its over 6 times stronger.
Elebits on the Wii had superb physics running on the Wii's CPU so I don't see how the Wii U's cpu will run into ...
Juza sucked. Why are they adding him?
Its not the first time(read, 3DS will be a failure and Vita will blow it away) and I doubt it will be the last.
Except that almost every port so far runs better on the Wii U than the PS3 and games that were actually built for the Wii U like Trine 2: Director's Cut can't even run on the 360/PS3 anymore without downgrades.
The only thing the PS3 has is a strong CPU. That is all it ever had. The GPU in the 360 is stronger and the GPU in the Wii U is over twice as strong as that one.
Also, the RAM claims have been found to have been wrong. Its actually GDDR3 just l...
The correct word is "low" not slow. It is precisely because of things like this that people are misinterpreting the information. That and the fact that most gaming journalist seem to be biased against Nintendo and favor reporting the worst news they can find in the worst way they can think of.
They are intentionally skewing all news to be as bad a they can. Just take this article and see how the writer adds in his discourteous 2 cents after every corrected fact. He...
I agree, unlike a certain other console, that shall go unnamed, which claims to do everything, but actually does it rather poorly.
A rip off is a rip off no matter how you spin it.
Lets see if this gets to 5+ pages like initial claim of it being much weaker did.
I have feeling it will fall a little short of that as all "better" news about the Wii U tends to do.
Will all of the people jumping on how much weaker the CPU is do to its clock speed please go here to continue the discussion

They did the same thing to the Wiimote in the early days of the Wii.
It looks good. I shall get it when I get my Wii U next year.
So many good reviews, so few comments.
I do believe that Nintendo stated there main goal was to keep cost down and make it affordable to the consumer. They are also taking a loss on each console sold.
How does that translate into them being greedy and more about profit?
Go do some research on GPGPU. It can do the those processes a lot more efficiently sense it doesn't have to barter with the CPU.
Its actually all around better.
Sadly, you will not be only person who comes here and gets hammered with disagrees and bubble downs for pointing out a fact that's not convenient.
The general goal of most modern CPU/GPU is to get more performance at lower clock speeds and has been for about 7 years.
My Quad Core i5 runs at a lowers clock speed than my previous Core 2 Quad Q6600 but it outperforms it by near 3 times while using less electricity to do it.
My new GTX 560 T...
What you notice has nothing to do with whether or not the system is easy to code for. The game is a port. Nothing more
The Wii U has more advanced shader modal and higher DX equivalent graphics support. Actually making use of those would require completely rewriting the game which would cost quite a few millions more than what Ubisoft is likely willing to spend.
The fact that simply porting the game to the console without optimization in less than 6 months ca...
Once again. Good review, no comments.
*cough*Sony*cough*cough*
Yeah this is a ridiculous article. Most people don't buy consoles for ports.
The thing I find odd is that there are a TON of articles like this for the Wii U but people actually promote them.
It makes no sense.
Its safe that BO:D is not going to change anybodies minds about wanting a Vita one way or the other.
Optimize means a lot more than that.
