do you seriously not see the difference between paying a subscription service to play one game as opposed to paying a subscription service to play the online component of any game, in addition to the cost of buying the game, and in addition to the cost of your internet connection? but even I had to think the game would not look as good as it does. That target render was amazing when it was shown in 2005. I literally waited to get a PS3 and did not pick up a 360 because of the game. Now that's coming out in a mere 4 days and is set to make 360 fanboys green with envy (pun intended) it's a good time to be a PS3 owner. MS may have to drop 360 down to 99.99 once GOW III is out and the PS3 goes down to 299.99.

but you realize a lot of that is due to nostalgia for your youth. SF2 was an amazing experience at the time, but part 4 is better in almost every way. In fact, anytime I hear people wax poetic about games like Alterd Beasts, Mutant league football, Tecmo Bowl, etc I always tell them that it's more to do with your youth than the games.
The constant complaint seems to be Seth's difficulty. I'm not one of those guys that tries to act all bad by saying I got perfects on Seth with every character on the hardest difficulty. I was using Ryu on medium and it took me a good 6 matches to get his pattern. If you just want to unlock the characters you can always put the game on easiest and set it to one match. Square Enix could be forced to delay FFXIII indefinitely (in the U.S. at least) and MS would still make it a profitable endeavor for them. Anything to counter Sony is the MS motto. I think people that only own a PS3 and no other console are not looking to pick up one of the other two if they haven't by now.
People that only own a 360 or a Wii are, however, waiting for a reason to get a PS3. And when they walk into Gamestop, Walmart, or wherever and see the beauty that is Killzone 2, I think they'll pick up a PS3.
