1) having the game on multiple discs and disc swapping.
2) playing an RPG on a system that you really don't want to have on too long as you increase the probability of dealing with one of the many hardware problems.
3) it's a port. Stop trying to tell yourself the game was built for 360. This game was built and made for the PS3 and thrown to the 360 to ensure SE maximizes its profits.
but where is the hate? Where did I flat out attack him? All I'm asking is for him to step his game up. He's not just a small time blogger anymore; he could potentially rise to the level of the big three sites.
And I know d@mn well that I don't have to watch the show. Thanks Captain Obvious. But HHG keeps asking why so many people are "hating" on him and I took the moment to tell him what he's doing. If a friend of yours asked you why he couldn't get a date and you told...
but I had to stop playing. It was so darn good. I often describe it to people as the perfect RPG that never ends. I wonder if Blizzard still has my char saved. Sigh...oh well. Maybe one day I'll get back into it.
None. Unless 1up starts writing about MGS4 and 5 coming to 360.
some of the imagery used is quite provocative. Killing spear throwing Africans? Wow. And the Japanese are not exactly known for being racially sensitive (see Mr. PoPo). I'm sure in time I'll rent it but I don't fault you at all for choosing to pass.
really a good barometer for support of your statement? The game sold better than any other Sony 1st party game in 30 days.
this isn't some open world game made for the 360 ala GTAIV. This game was made for the PS3. The environment is more detailed and open than GTA4 in every way. It takes advantage of the space available through blu-ray.
I guess what I'm saying is it's not possible on 360 unless they scale it back. So keep dreaming.
But if it's not a viable option then Sony can't do it. I guess in the end being profitable is more important than attempting to destroy the competition. Sorta like what a poly sci prof of mine called a "race to the bottom." Sony and MS continue to undercut eachother, it's great for us but bad for them, one or both drop out of the console race, and we're left with....gasp...the wii?
Shudders.
and to be consistent and fair, this is a really stupid headline designed to drive fanboy traffic. I hope this shows HHG and his staff that people here don't have a personal vendetta against him. It's just that these sort of headlines are flat out annoying. We don't even know what MS' lineup is for the rest of the year and yet we're going to speculate as to whether this mystery lineup will outshine a confirmed game?
instant fail. And people seem to say that all the sites use these...
and it could no longer play DVDs after like 7 years of ownership. I sold it and my xbox along with all my games in order to get money for my PS3. But anyway, I'm not going to act like PS2 didn't have problems but is that all 360 fanboys can point to? A faulty system that isn't Sony's focal point anymore?
then my fault. Again, I don't own a 360 so I can only go off what other 360 owners say. that said, you point to the last sentence in my post as what to refute me on. Does everything else I said stand?
I'm finally getting my own broadband signal this weekend and I will be Killzoning everyone that crosses my path. Charge for the content. I have no problem with that at all. Free would've been nice, but considering I don't pay money to simply connect to PSN I usually allot myself an extra 50 or so bucks a year for DLC and PSN games.
Seriously, how is the 360 so faulty? What happened? I often recount how my original xbox was stepped on by a friend and worked just fine afterwards. Now, as a PS3 only owner, I find it kinda sad how 360 owners are so careful with the console. "Don't leave it on longer than 30 minutes" "don't turn it on by the power button on the console" "don't stand it up" "don't plug it into a surge protector" etc etc.
The worst part is that when a 360 di...
just add subtitles. No need to do any mega advertising. Just a few ads in gaming mags here and there. I'd buy it for sure.
Nothing else comes close...so far.
By years end it'll be InFamous, GT5, Killzone 2, Heavy Rain, and COD Modern Warfare 2.
nevermind. It's not important. Calling the PSP a failure is like calling the Wii a failure. Sony's decision to go portable paid off big time.
Another site added to the list.
I kinda like having the physical disc in my hands but if this results in games being cheaper (because they cut out retail) then I'm all for it. Retail isn't going to like it but so what. I'll order my console directly from the source (MS, Sony, etc) if I have to.
but I will say that, using myself and other PS3 owners that haven't picked up a 360 after seeing Gears, Gears 2, and Halo 3 as a barometer, that this is completely false.
Once again this headline uses the infamous ? mark to keep itself grounded in the pits of speculation that we are all accustomed to from this site.
Looking at the comments on this page, it appears that no PS3 owner is waiting for a Halo game that many 360 owners have questions about.
No...
Great move. Own your launch day. Do not share it with a game that is multiplatform and will probably get more advertising. Once the reviews drop I may pick up InFamous. I'm waiting on reviews because A) the game is a new IP and I usually survey the field before B) dropping 65 bucks on a game that is, again, a new IP.
Bubbles for all on page one that are psyched about this news.
oh well. Since when is being grammatically correct a necessity for a journalist?
