Man I'm so glad I didn't watch the review. I didn't even read it for fear of spoilers. At this point I think we all know the game is great. Why risk the spoiler of a review? In fact, after the game ships I think you're going to have to avoid most podcasts because they'll probably spoil a few things.
I'm actually trying to find a spot in BK that'll sell it earlier so I can enjoy the game over the upcomming four day weekend. Kudos to Bungie. PS3 owners stand up. It's a great game. Don't rent it if you can afford it. Go get it.
Good point. Bubbles. With multiplats having become the norm for almost all 3rd party games it makes it less of a necessity to own more than one console (unless your main is a Wii).
?
meanwhile everytime I manage to get the money to buy one Sony comes out with more amazing games. I always wind up saying I'd rather get 4 PS3 games than get another system with no games. Sigh.
I'm hoping that by the time Alan Wake comes out Sony doesn't have anything that might take my 360 money again. Oh wait, isn't Heavy Rain coming out next year? Darnit.
couldn't agree with you more. I'm 2 years younger so we're practically the same age. Maybe people perceive me to be a Sony fanboy because I'm so passionate and appreciative of what they've done with the PS3. Normally I think I'd be a little peeved that I spent 550.00 on something that now costs almost half that but I'm not. System felt like a deal at the price I paid at launch.
I'm in no rush for the PS4. I think the PS3 has yet to fully flex its muscles. Well, maybe I won't be ...
First came Uncharted 1, I was a believer
then came Killzone 2, it blew my mind
now Uncharted 2...ohhhh...ahhhh....I'm a believer, I couldn't leave Sony if I tried.
I've been hearing great things about this game. I might have to pick it up this holiday season.
And Edge, stop beating around the Bush. U2 is getting a AAA score unless you want to be considered a complete joke.
and get rid of these psuedo gamers that are supposedly attractive.
Both versions have framerate issues when your player gets in the post but the 2k10 doesn't have that plastic looking player models that Live does. Live is supposedly more solid on 360 in terms of framerate. I Guess it'll be a rental for both.
I'm thinking a playpen area in BestBuy and maybe some Gamestops. Allow kids and kids at heart to interact with the virtual pet.
And it's not like there isn't a whole lot coming this current holiday season.
They had Halo Wars. Game of the year, no? /s
And yeah, Patcher must be getting a little touched in the head to have completely disregarded Killzone2.
It's an essential proposition. It's absolutely crucial to a console's success. Exclusive IPs and/or functionality are what drive sales. If Sony didn't have the in-house blockbuster titles that they do I may not have considered getting a PS3. Heck, the entire console is a risky proposition. Web Browser, upgradeable HDD, blu-ray, the cell, etc etc. Like the saying goes "scared money don't make none."
Cnet really needs to step their game up.
I'd rather they push a game back to get it just right then release it prematurely.
sigh. Silly fanboy. Every year is the year of the PS3...figuratively and literally. And if you disagree let's list lineup for lineup.
Bubbles for making me laugh out loud.
so reported it's not even funny.
"The percentage of Arcade owners isn't nearly as large as some people want to believe."
Please provide a link to prove that. I can't help but think that when Christmas came around and parents were buying a system for their kid they didn't opt for the cheaper 199.99 sku.
N4G is not indicative of the game consumer as a whole. That's why Killzone 2 didn't sell like ODST despite having a temperature almost triple of anything else for a long time.
J...
"The consumer should research a product first."
You 360 guys love to blame the consumer and not MS. When the RROD debacle was at it's peak it was all "Mine's works. You must not have yours in a well ventilated area."
Now it's the consumer's fault for not "researching" a product? Tsk tsk.
Sounds like what a con-man would say after selling someone volcano insurance.
Games that have a story that consists of more than aliens invading a world of muscular marines or gratitous violence are just getting old. Maybe it's because I'm getting old. The fact that I can curb stomp someone or rip a head off but not attempt to have a real relationship in a game is just crazy. This game is looking to break the mold. It'd be nice if the game does well. Other devs might attempt to follow suit.
