Most gamers don't know what a frame rate is so thats false. Graphics sell games so thats what devs prioritize. You will not see 60 fps on any game that isn't competitive/fast. With a few exceptions.
@ThereGoThatManQ
Explain how its "horse shit." Here's the long list of AAA open world games that run at 60 fps: MGS5
*gasp That's it? Stop it. All this hooplah over a standard 60 fps is falling on deaf ears. Its wishful thinking at this point. We haven't seen a majority of games on console being 60 fps in about 4 generations. At this point you're delusional if you think they're going back to that. That could give us nuclear p...
Consoles will never prioritize 60 fps cause most gamers don't even know what a frame is.
Has nothing to do with power of the consoles or the lowest common denominator or any of that. They’re simply promising for graphics cause that’s what sells games. The casual gamer doesn’t know what a frame rate even is so 60 fps will never be a standard for consoles. You will still get tons of games that are 30 fps next gen. 60 will be prioritized for fast and/or competitive games.
They still have other games
releasing this year.
All this before seeing a smidgen of gameplay.
Likely due to a dwindling player base.
Few games to play? They have 95% of the games available on PS. So if we have few games to play so does PS.
These corporations and gangs are giving me heavy Ghost in the Shell vibes.
No, not what this is saying at all.
Why the spin articles? The PS5 will still be a very capable, very powerful console. Just not more than the SX. Is it not enough to outsell the competition as well as having higher quality SP games?
@sinspirit
Phil had no say so on how the console was going to be marketed or built. He was head of game development. All he had say so over was the studios.
There is no way to feel about it. No gameplay.
You find werewolves unfathomable in a universe with as many monsters as RE's?
You can make any mode you want in Forge.
@Ocelot07
I said graphics sell games not consoles. Keep up. No one said anything about Xbox outselling PS. But if casual gamers don't see a jump in graphical fidelity they are more reluctant to buy. Casual gamers have not idea what a frame rate is. I don't know how told you different. Cause most of them aren't tech savvy at all.
There wasn’t nearly as many things running in the 5th and 6th gen, so of course 60 fps was a lot easier.
From a business sense it’s not moronic. Graphics sell games not frames. Most gamers don’t even know what a frame rate is. You will never get a generation on consoles where we get 60 fps across the board so stop waiting on it.
I'm tired of this conversation. They could give devs a quantum computer, they aren't going to prioritize 60 fps on console for anything other than fast/competitive games. You will still get 30 fps next gen, and the gen after that, because devs put that bandwidth into graphics. And yes graphics sell games since most gamers don't even know what a frame rate is.
@AnubisG
Casual gamers; which are the majority of gamers, don't know what a frame rate is. Hardcore gamers like the ones that frequent sites like these would know.
