Physical media can be turned off. They can revoke your access to a game through either your account, console, or even your IP address.
I feel like physical is great for people who don't buy a lot of games. I know for certain I don't have room for almost 400 (not counting games with gold games) games in my house. If you have the room and buy a lot of games then cool, physical shouldn't be a problem.
@RazzerRedux
Even those games will have features that can't be fully realized on current gen. Like ray tracing.
@Tech5
'define "next gen games".'
Games that cant be fully realized on current gen hardware. It doesn't matter if next gen hardware comes out. If it can easily run on current consoles/hardware then it isn't really next gen.
Next gen doesn’t start until next gen games release
He’s not. 60 fps will never be the standard on console.
He said he doubts 60 fps will become the standard. He never said his game wouldn't be.
They’ve never been the most popular games aside from the few AAAs.
Are you serious? They definitely did. Putting things like the only place to play (insert game) in 1080p.
It will never be standard on console for anything other than fast/competitive games. At this point it’s delusional to expect any different. Most gamers don’t even know what a frame rate is and instead look to graphics in their decision to purchase a game.
Yall ever get tired of saying the same thing every gen.
I never thought PC gamers cared about achievements. 🤔
You will not get 60 fps for games that aren't competitive and/or fast. Its beating a dead horse at this point. Cinematic games like Resident Evil and TLOU will continue to be 30 fps. Games like Doom and Cod will continue to be 60 fps. As long as you're on console, this is the reality. Get over it.
Beating a dead horse. 60 fps will continue to be prioritized for competitive and/or fast games on console.
To be fair, EGS is just starting to give away games. So they’d have larger selection to choose from than gold and plus who’ve already given away some of these games.
People are conveniently forgetting the beginnings and endings of each gen to fuel their argument. The first at least year and a half are chock full of cross gen games. Also people are forgetting the majority of PC gaming rigs that won't be up to par with the consoles, nor have an SSD capable of taking advantage of next gen only games.
Y’all keep saying this but what about the majority of gaming PCs that won’t be up to par with the Series X or PS5 at launch?
No matter what MS does you guys complain. When MS isn’t doing enough you complain. When MS is being aggressive by doing more and showing more, you guys complain about them boasting too much.
People like lovemetal is more of a casual gamer. He just so happens to frequent game sites.
I’ve never seen a dev rag on a console they were making an exclusive for. Chill, devs do the same for Sony and Nintendo.
