Well Kojima heavily favors PlayStation. So anything he's involved in PlayStation is going to get the first taste of it.
It still isn't the minimum for the the PS4. Even if it does hit 1080p 30fps on more games, it still struggles to hit that.
Resolution only matters to a certain extent. If a game game hit 1080p without sacrificing graphical fidelity then great. But if it can't hit 1080p without sacrificing something, then I don't mind devs taking it down to 900p. As long as it still looks good. I don't recommend 720p ever though. No one can say that a PS4 game looks leagues ahead of the X1 version, just because it has a 180p advantage. That's not enough to make a huge difference no matter how you spin it. Barely ev...
The saying is also "simplicity is king."
Yea I know. Since the Xbox One doesn't have to worry about the small stuff it can focus on the main aesthetics of the game, like character models, environments, frame rate, and resolution. Cloud will help to free some resources.
If you don't have internet, you don't need a gaming console. As all gaming consoles need a day one patch to be able to work. Why in the hell would anyone buy a 500-400 dollar console without internet? Knowing the main aspect is multiplayer. If you have crappy internet, then Azure won't do much for you. And if your internet cuts off that's just unfortunate. Happens to the best of us. Without the internet there's really not much to do with either console anyway.
What I've been trying to say all along. The Azure Cloud can work. Just not doing anything heavy. In order to keep latency to a minimum the cloud will focus on the smaller aspects of the game like trees blowing in the wind, water physics, etc. Its nothing but X/Y coordinates anyways. A bunch of numbers. Won't take much to process.
I truly hope so. Quantum Break is one of my most anticipated games. Remedy is also one of my favorite studios.
Like when. I can't name one time where XBL affected my service.
What is this rubbish. My Xbox One's UI isn't slow at all.
It cost more to make the X1 than the PS4. Get your facts straight first.
IMO No. But it is a very, very good game. And, why am I seeing people getting disagrees for complimenting the game, but saying its not the best game ever made?
I see all these programs like GWG, PS plus, and now EA Access, as ways to get people to constantly buy the game's DLC. Instead of paying the initial $60 then buying a season pass or DLC separate. So I think $5/month or $30/year is a steal.
You get a bubble for that well said comment. If all fanboys could see this comment they would much rather be doing that, making memories. I think that trolls go so hard over their consoles because this console war; oddly enough, is linked to their self esteem. So if you attack their preference in any way its like attacking them. When in reality, we're sharing the same experiences no matter what res or fps.
I see it like this. Sony is the most trusted company gaming wise and people listen to them before MS. So if Sony starts a mudslinging campaign to discredit MS, the public will trust their word. Just think about it. Xbox vs PS2. No mudslinging. Did okay but it was new. Xbox 360 vs PS3. No mudslinging. Did great. Now, Xbox One vs PS4. Mudslinging campaign starts. Xbox One isn't doing so well (sales wise).
How is it that when PC gamers come and call not only the X1 weak, but the PS4 weak, Sony fanboys get defensive. Throw off excuses about PC not being a console. Although true, why is it all of sudden OK for Sony fanboys to shit on the X1's power, but not OK for the PC fanboys to shit on the PS4's. Even if its not a console. If you can't take it don't dish it out.
@strickers
What? That doesn't make sense. If a game is 900p on X1 and 1080p on PS4. Why don't they crank the X1 version's res up if it had all that stuff missing in the first place. X1 doesn't have any lower graphics fx. Just lower res and on occasion lower frame rate.
The X1 has never had trouble rendering the same graphics as the PS4. The trouble comes with rendering those same graphics at the same resolution as the PS4. So they sacrifice resolution so they don't lose any graphic fidelity.
The cloud doesn't do anything bandwidth intensive. The X1 without the cloud read/writes all of its calculations. All the cloud is doing is writing down calculations for the X1 and sending it to the console. Therefore, the console only has to read some of its calculations without having to write them too. Simple. I'm pretty sure it isn't going to be handling anything that heavy though.
MS is not going to give up. They got beat before by the PS2, got back up with the 360. So I expect the trend to follow this gen.
