Connecting to a us server from europe is just so stupid its not even worth trying, the performance would be horrible on such a system as psnow.
Mantle is only of use for AMD owners where as dx12 is for all pc users, its pretty clear which one developers will choose. Mantle has an uphill strugle and its already hit its biggest hurdle with nvidia refusing to support it.
Only big difference is the exclusive games and that is totally subjective. No one has come out with anything massively groundbreaking this gen.
atm it seems to be mainly aimed at the extreme impulse buyer.
I got FIFA 14 last year so I will probably get pes this year and look at if FIFA 16 is worth getting or waiting until FIFA 17 before repeating the cycle again.
Sony doesn't want the competition, it is their closed system after all so they are free to do whatever they want to make the maximum revenue. Sony have to be careful though as ea are shifting more towards Microsoft over the last year and this has probably played a part in that.
If you only like console genre games, which it seems you do, then yeah at this moment in time the x1 and ps4 are the best quick fix options. Personally I play the console games on my consoles and the PC only games on my PC.
I would rather have one location per planet that are very different from each other than have many cookie cutter locations, hopefully the maps they have fit into the diverse category.
Unchartered 4 uses the same ps3 engine that they have been using for a while, they have now upgraded that engine and covered the development costs with TLOU remastered version. So in reality they have been working on unchartered 4 the whole time as beyond the engine work creating TLOU remastered wouldn't have taken much additional effort.
Lots of social upgrades coming in the next x1 firmware update, probably something to do with that.
Assassins creed 1 and 2 were good, then it got very boring, I really liked the new black flag was most fun I had in an assassins creed game for a long time. The new one though seems like going back to boring territory it just doesn't get me excited like black flag did.
To be expected from mid level non exotic tech, in a couple of years the production cost will be very little.
I was sure yoshi would be on that list, it's tongue could do some crazy stuff.
Personally I don't consider TLOU a remaster, It is obvious that this version was on the cards for a while and most of the work such as the higher res textures was already created and just needed putting in. It is more of an ultimate edition but I guess remastered was used for the PR and marketing, some marketing person crying when seeing an ultimate version sounds a lot more lame than crying when seeing a remaster. Just sounds cooler but it isn't what I imagine when I think remastere...
When I first saw kameo on 360 it blew my mind it was such a beautiful looking launch title and my PC had no chance of competing with it.
Technically all the consoles are disappointing this gen, the xbox 360 and ps3 were a lot more advanced compared to the tech of the day. The only slightly interesting spec is the ddr5 in the ps4, I don't know what Microsoft were smoking when they did the spec for their machine surely these problems came through when testing.
After the 360 successes Microsoft really needed to put the pressure on Sony but they have completely fumbled a great opportunity. Hopefully the eng...
The games are old, a pathetic 10% off the digital price which are already over priced and the biggest catch is that they are the base games without the dlc so you end up buying expensive content for something you don't even own.
Would be nice to get them all remastered and bundled together before the next one, if they have not started on it yet though it would take a while and would be a lot more work than what they had to put into TLOU.
One of the best games of the year so far.
Looking forward to seeing what they can do with gears on the next gen.
