This game is heavily loot based unlike other console offline/online pvp games. Once you go offline there is no longer a good way of tracking items, if they developed such a solution it would be worth a lot more that the price of this game as it would have world changing implications. Ultimatly you would end up after about 10 mins with a game where everyone has duped the best loot, if not altered the stats, destroying the legit players game.
You dont have to go very far to...
Was about to type the same thing, online is nothing new and it's been working perfectly fine for years in many many games. The great thing about this gen is that the console market is finally ready to make a big push into this type of online game, even if it is decades late to the party.
No thanks, a monopoly is never good for the consumer.
If you were to allow offline then you would get lots of hacked items, and since there is a competitive element to the game that's a big problem.
Is nice having this type of game on console.
The lack of genre variety makes this a poor list for it's intended purpose.
Yes, pandemic 2.
The white ps4 did look extremely nice.
Microsofts biggest failing was releasing a console that was not as powerful as the ps4, it's not a big power difference but when you are the underdog company it makes a massive perception problem. It would be like Samsung releasing a less powerful phone/tablet than apple and charging the same or more, it would get killed straight out of the gate.
Hopefully in a year we will get a complete edition with all of the car dlc so we can get the full experience at a reasonable price, as long as I can play in the snow in the free version I ain't to bothered cause there's a lot of other racers to keep me busy coming out this year.
If we can take two things from this it is that hype sells but also more importantly is that many console gamers are now capable of playing online only games and will buy them. I am expecting many online only games to be released over this console gen now.
With the big sales numbers of destiny it goes to show just how many people are now capable of playing online only games on their consoles. Online games are going to become more and more common this console gen now they know they can sell well.
There is weather in the game, it is just not dynamic weather they have said certain areas will get certain weather conditions. Just dont expect that rain cloud to slowly roll across the entire map while you play.
From what we have seen so far i would agree, either they are terrible at marketing and have chosen the worst parts to demonstrate or it really is just a case of great eyecandy with not so great gameplay.
Will be a slow shift as older gens of gamers will find it hard to transition. It will probably take someone like apple, Samsung, etc to push this move from the traditional console to a purely streaming one. If you had asked me if I would give up on music CDs and go purely digital in 2000 I would have said no way as my internet and such would not be up to it and I want a physical copy with a booklet etc, but now I haven't bought a music cd in years and I can listen to any song I want whe...
If you can only get one console then the only thing that really matters this gen is the exclusives and which machine has the ones you most want. There just isn't a whole lot of difference between the two when it comes to the graphics of the multiplats, even the controllers this time around are much more evenly matched with sonys improvements in that area.
If anything I think that the xbox one will be around for quite a while as it will be used to stream the next gen of games along side a newer console for those not yet fully ready for streaming.
People are reviewing the game based on the hype and what they were told they were getting instead of what the game actually is. If you take the game at face value without the pr work and the hype then it's easily a 9 out of 10, but when you try to review it in relation to the hyped expectations it starts falling flat in critical places. The hype sold the game massively well on preorders so bungie won't be loosing any sleep over it.
Big buy from Microsoft and a big boost to all of their platforms with this one, they have a big job now making sure they keep mojang going strong.
They should have remote play on more than just sony phones, there is no reason not to apart from a horrible money grabbing move by them.
