I usually go physical but some of the sales recently have swayed me into buying digital, I prefer digital but usually the price difference is just too much and doesn't decrease in line with the physical copies.
Big shift is going to be franchise wars where as up until now we have mainly just had game wars.
I think the key thing is that he said franchise bartering and not just game bartering, I cannot think of many third party games where entire franchises have been bought, like with titanfall and the new tomb raider I would not class those deals as franchise deals as they are single games.

I bought the game for the campaigns as I hadn't played halo 1-4 before, its really amazing to get to play something that old but which plays and looks so good. Have fun.
A new Game every two years with dlc every three months seems to be what they are aiming at with how easily they are talking about destiny 2 and its features.

If mortal kombat had gone exclusive it would have been a much bigger deal, street fighter might have been king in the 90s but it has lost a lot of ground. Most people will have a pc capable of playing this as it's not going to be a technically cutting edge game. Kind of surprised its releasing on pc also tbh considering the amount of Sony funding.

You really have to question if capcom at this point can even pull off a top class game anymore, their games have been in decline for years. I had some fun with Deadrising 3 but it was far from being a great game, if it wasn't a launch game I don't think I would have bothered with it.
