@septic if a new GT comes out any time soon I will be extremely shocked, I just don't see it coming this year, q3 next year seems more realistic. I think we will see a GT reveal at this e3 because they are loosing traction in this area atm with only having DC where as Microsoft will have put out 3 driving games in the same space of time.

while the studios you mention have interesting projects in the works non of them are currently highly critically acclaimed developers like those refered to in the article. Will that mean they shine brighter this year than the rest, i dunno there's lots of competition out there vying for that indie spotlight as you point out.
Problem with the PS3 updates was that they were mostly system stability updates, or updates that removed stuff. The vast majority of the microsoft x1 updates have added multiple new features that have improved the system beyond just stability, a lot of these features are things people have actually asked for also. Microsofts software department are on top form atm and with the potential windows 10 update making its way to the xbox the updates and improvement just keep coming.
This mortal kombat is looking so good, I can see this holding onto the best fighting game title for a long time.

These two consoles are so similar that it really does come down to the one that has the type of exclusive games you like.

Just seems so pointless removing a feature because of a money exploit now, they lost that war a long time ago and anyone who wanted to gain money by exploiting has already done it.
PS4 is not a high end gaming pc. It also doesnt have the "potential" either because the specs are locked, it either is or it isn't and it isn't. The current crop of next gen consoles were mid level PCs at time of launch end of story. They are decent machines compared to last gen but they are not high end PCs.
I don't want an android console I want a console with ios.
But still those billions don't own the tech capable to use this service. The people that can afford to upgrade their tvs to a new premium ps now compatible tv or other device will be those able to easily afford a console which is a fraction of the cost.
My original X1 made a horrible scratching buzzing noise making it alot louder than my ps4, got it replaced and it is now considerably quieter.
I would love to have something like illumiroom, if they could make a device that did it at a reasonable cost I would be all over it. VR is great but would be nice to have some diversity between the machines and not just everyone jumping onto the same thing.
At this point it's looking more unlikely than likely to come to the ps4 anytime soon, if it does come I don't expect it for about 2 years to coincide with the next game release.

More like a 5770 compared to a 5770 OC edition. Efficiency is going to be the biggest deciding factor this gen as no matter how you spin it the cold reality is these two systems specs are so incredibly similar, we don't even have a brand difference to argue about as they are both using AMDs and even the same architecture. I cannot think of a gen where the machines have been this close, it's kind of crazy.
