Console manufacturers make most of their money from their fees placed on top of games and now live/psn subscriptions so its a good deal for microsoft, each console sold brings back 5-7 years of future profit.
Early 2015, with rockstar that could literally mean anything. The continued lack of a solid release date is extremely disappointing. If it doesn't release in the next 3 months then they might as well not bother tbh and should have just released some single player dlc that was actually possible for them to make.
Give me games that i want to play, quality over quantity, this is one area that nintendo always excels and microsoft has done well with this year. Sony haven't been that great in that area this year and released games that should have blown me away but just ended up wheezing out the gate.
Plex and Mkv support on X1 plus the fact I can plug my cable box into it makes it easily miles ahead of the ps4 in this regard. Ps4 is missing so much still in this area, big switch around from start of last gen.

Such a shame both microsoft and Sony cheaped out and went amd this gen, would have loved to see a good nvidia based console this gen.
With the way it was so strangely worded when revealed makes me think that they have some deal where if microsoft wants to then they can extend the exclusive period and it wasn't set in stone at the time of reveal. with microsoft now publishing it i don't see it coming to ps4 anytime soon but will come to pc about 6 months after xbox launch like ryse and dead rising. We will probably know a lot more at next years e3.
Even at these figures they are still selling them for less of a loss than start of last gen, manufacturers have been really gready by wanting to make money on both the consoles and on the sales of games from the very start. Which is also why these machines are so weak this time around compared to previous gen start.
2014 has taught us that games with a review embargo up to release day are more than likely going to be crap.
If a game in 2015 has such an embargo don't preorder it.
If it is a collection like that then it would be an instant buy.
Hopefully they release galciv 3 on consoles, these new machines should be able to handle a decent sized and populated Galaxy.
Just leave your machine on standby so it can download when you are sleeping.

If this was some F2P game then sure, but people payed full release price for this game less than 3 months ago. It wasn't some discounted game either with copies selling for about £55 here in the uk for digital.

If anyone else had released a console like the wii u with its lack of third party support they would have long been dead by now. Goes to show that Nintendo however are a great game developer, it is hard to not get a wii u, especially next year.

The fact that the solution mentioned in this article hasn't been implemented just looks so bad on bungie. It would not have been hard to do and would have solved all the problems, but it also would have given people one less incentive to buy it and hence why they didnt do it. Bungie have really become money grabbers.

I wouldn't be surprised if the success of dragon age didn't contribute in some way to the witcher 3 being delayed, any game going up against dragon age is going to find it tough.
