Doubt anyone will actually even read this story but really curious if ANYONE knows why they are charging 3 times the price for the game on PSN versus what was offered on Xbox Live? Anyone??
I am not so sure it is the getting used to it factor. I have owned almost ALL consoles at one time or another. And just find that the Xbox 360 controller is preferred for FPS games. (and actually most other games for the comfort) Not saying that you can't get used to the dualshock... just that the preferred controller for me is the Xbox 360.
I used to love the Dreamcast controller and hated the Gamecube controller myself (though many love it). I was a big fan of the Duke...
Don't be suckered into the... "...making it the definitive version and a must-buy for fans of the series." No version of the game was worth playing. A definite pass... not worth the $1 price on Xbox Live and not sure why they are trying to price it higher at $2.99 for PSN users???
Well the stick position has been the primary motivation for those that like the Xbox 360. Yes, the shape of the controller and the triggers (along with the bumper buttons) are also a major factor. But primarily... stick placement.
As for the D-Pad and fighting games? I usually use the sticks anyways... so no issue on my end. But I can see how the old D-Pad did have issues with accuracy when using. I have not seen any issues with the new controller though with the better D-Pad...
Not familiar with the Resistance 3 pass bonus material. But that is good if they allow anyone on the system to access the items.
As for the Halo 3... I have not played Halo 3 online in awhile but my DLC maps for Halo:Reach are only playable by my daughter if she is playing with me. I can sign into her system and download the DLC again and she is still only able to play on those maps if I am logged on. Same goes for the Fable 2 DLC. I downloaded the DLC and she did not have ac...
Basically what is being said is that many companies are looking at allowing online as a pass option that comes with the game when bought new. (especially EA) Which is no issue for those that buy new and don't care to share their games with friends or family.
But if you rent a game from any rental service, borrow a game from a friend or just want to play a game that your family member bought you will need to purchase your own online pass to play that game online.
What game pass add on are you referring too? I know that Mass Effect 2 pass does not allow just anyone signed on to access the pass items. As the same with many EA passes. They are specific to only the one account ID.
I am not talking about PSN here.(which we know is free) We are talking about online passes which can possibly lead to online restrictions to games that will need online passes for online multiplayer in the future. Currently if I download an add on for my accoun...
People who complain about getting disagrees get a disagree from me. Regardless if they have made any other valid points in their post.
Except the sticks don't appear to be offset in this controller so it defeats the point of some people preferring the Xbox 360 controller layout over the PS3.
The Gioteck HF-2 Wireless Controller(Bluetooth) looks like a much better attempt at giving you Xbox 360 controls with PS3 connectivity.

The offset design provides for a more comfortable feel in first-person and third-person shooters, as well as eliminating the problem of "thumb butting" that plagues the symmetrical design of the PS controllers.
Some people are at the impression that symmetrical design is more ergonomic. But in reality non-symmetrical design is more the norm in game pads. (possibly why the Gamecube controller is still raved about?) The left and right hands are doing separate functio...
The real issue with online passes is that it attaches the game to one user account. In the past anyone in your household could pick up the game and play it freely. But more recent changes in some online passes have made it so that the only person able to play the game online or with some functions has to be the sole person who bought the game.
No more loaning your games out to your friends. No more anyone in the frat house being able to play. No more of brother Timmy and Bobb...
For some reason this reminded me of the Tresspasser game and trying to pick up items with a design aspect that didn't quite work in the game.
When I am thinking hybrid I would like to see some kind of head tracking device to wear that will allow me to look left or right by movement of my head with a panning ability of course that will center so I don't have to look completely away from the screen to see behind me.
And with the Arcade TimeCop type of g...
One city does not a country make.
US population 2011: 313,232,044
Japan population 2011: 126,475,664
2050 Expected Population:
US: 439,010,253
Japan: 93,673,826 (note the decrease)
And if you look at the population relative to age then you would be shocked that Japan has anyone to buy games. Their population consists mostly of elderly. 5316d ago 5 agree1 disagreeView comment
Time to flush Septic.
"...he has single-handedly transformed the way characters are portrayed in video games." I say this description of Drake is a bit of an exaggeration but he does belong on the list.
Two I would take off the list are Big Daddy and Altaïr. (Maybe put THEM on the honorable list) More iconic in my eyes (my eyes) would be John Marston (Who was reduced to sitting at the kiddy table in this meal of top Icons) and Niko Bellic. I would also let Cole Phelps sit at the kid...
The question is why did it change? Because his mission changed. He still had the moments of stealth and then situations that forced him out of his comfort zone.
I lost nothing in who Sam Fisher was/or is now. His earlier missions were assigned for him to meet a task. The last was ultimately one of revenge and personal involvement more so then what just a mission statement my present.
He didn't loose his badassness nor did he loose his ability to use ste...
I can't believe the number of fixes on day 1.Hey Publishers... We really need to start looking at longer debug times for games!
List of fixes:

Fixed occasional inability to complete sidequests in Laboratory.
Improved enemy awareness (zombies).

True on both UnDead Nightmare and RE5, they are Zombies. The author seems to want to reduce the Zombies to something that he remembers as a kid while watching Night of the Living Dead.
But as we all have grown to see throughout movie lore the Zombies can't be categorized down to one stereo type. Just as in Land of the Dead where the Zombies become self aware and form more thought in their attacks and interactions beyond that of mindless walking eating machines. Or the Zom...
I am thinking that for Cortana to survive she might have to move her AI intelligence into a more sustainable vessel. What could they possibly find on the new planet that will assist her in surviving? And how will this interact with her and Master Chiefs current symbiotic relationship?
Yes, if you are a Weather Man and you say Rain is coming but don't specify a time or anything exact. Yep... ribbed till no end.
He is speaking his mind in the same way a fortune teller is speaking their mind when saying that you are going to meet a tall dark stranger. No sh@t, what are the odds?
