@ThaTruthMVP
I'm sorry, but I find it insulting to the intelligence to believe that you did this for any other reason than to create some click bait. How many videos do you make addressing the ridiculous assertions of a negligible number of fools? I mean, what's next? Are you going to treat us to an article with the headline, "Is a dog a cat," in which you proceed to argue what was already plainly obvious to anyone with a clue to begin with: that a dog is no...
1) Don't blame the people for responding to a title that was created for the express purpose of trolling a reaction out of people. Congrats. Mission accomplished.
2) There is no need to watch the video. The answer is no. Even the village idiot could tell you the launch was not a failure. If it was, you wouldn't need some clown to explain in a video how it could be. Everyone would know it.
@ThaTruthMVP
You "probably could have titled the article better"? That's an understatement. I suppose if you did, there really wouldn't be anything attention worthy about the article.
You wanted "to weigh in on the question since a good amount of people have been either asking it or implying it"? Don't be ambiguous. Give a numeric value to this "good amount." Come on. Give your best estimate. Now how many PS4's we...
I just came in to give this article a "WTF" and down vote the site. Seriously? This is beyond stupid.
I think it's pretty pathetic that they were trying to give the Xbox a one up over the 4 because of the ability to use a remote to begin with. It's just so mind boggling. So all of a sudden resolution doesn't matter, but the ability to use a remote control does? Are people so lazy that the ability to use a remote (instead of a controller) is now worth even mentioning as an advantage? If Kinect voice control is so great an experience, why would anyone care about using a remote? The ...
I actually thought you were going in a different direction: What does this mean for all of those reviews of the Xbox which failed to mention this?
No.
1) To your original point, the PS4 is out, and obviously it does have the game lineup to warrant a purchase at launch. In fact, it has the game lineup to warrant record sales at launch.
2)Xbox isn't out yet, but there are these things known as pre-orders which give a pretty good indication (especially for launch consoles which will be hard to come by without one) of how sales are going to go.
3) You're right, one of those systems isn't out yet. ...
Yet, somehow the PS4 is moving more units and games than Xbox. Oh, wait. You're one of those people placing more weight in the opinions of a small fraction of the gaming public (reviewers) than you are in the more numerous opinions of the wider gaming audience, aren't you?
Gimme that mic, cuz you ain't using it right. You're just the opening act.
I actually just got done playing Knack, and I'm enjoying that game way more than the reviews would say I should be.
Now all of the Xbox fanboys were quick to whine and throw out the talking point 'We don't play resolution. We play games,' when an actual feature of the games (their resolution) was being talked about. Now you want to take something that is not a...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't those scores you mentioned pretty consistent with other reviews? When you have a game like TLOU, considered by many as the best game of the last gen, getting a 7.5, that's a glaring outlier.
Unless you have some evidence that contradicts the evidence to the contrary that has already been put out there, then you are spouting nonsense about that funding.
Funding gives you Polygon scoring the Xbone higher than the PS4. That's really what it comes down to.
Also, people like round numbers. That's what they tend to focus on. That's why items are often sold at $xxx.99 (the "x"s are variables for a dollar amount). For example, if I sell a game for $59.99, in reality that is as close as you can get to $60 without it being $60, but people focus less on the cents, and more on the dollar amount. Subconsciously, th...
Neutrality lies with the truth. To stray away from the truth is to display bias in favor of that which is unfavored by the truth. I don't know why journalists have such a hard time understanding that.
For example, if Adam Sessler makes a conscious attempt to avoid saying the Xbox has weaker specs, in the interest of appearing neutral, he is engaging in bias which favors Xbox by nullifying its disadvantage in that area. He may not go so far as to say that Xbox is more pow...
I didn't disagree, but I'll jump in. What are graphics but a way to create a more immersive experience? It's the same with 3D.
LMAO. I see what you did there. Funny bubs.
@Frodosmugins
All you are doing is spouting generalities. Doing so repeatedly, does nothing to prove your point.
Exactly. I have the game. I'm playing it on hard. It's really not that difficult. Some of these reviews from the disgrace that is the gaming media are like giving a low score to a weight set because the reviewer isn't strong enough to lift the weights.
Logically speaking, you haven't detailed any flaws of the game to warrant anyone saying that your are "rite."
Why you decided not to buy PS4 right now:
Because they're sold out?
