I've already defended the launch lineup titles specifically elsewhere. What I want to do now is just throw this out there for those questioning the PS4's exclusives:
Take the exclusives being released this year on PS4 and XB1. Add those to the exclusives released this year from their respective predecessors in the PS3 and 360. That should give you a better gauge of what you can expect over the life of the consoles.
@Riderz1337
Which is insane considering their respective install bases and availability of the console.
What makes you say that? The Halo avatar on his posts here?
Ditto on Knack. I've read some good things about that game. It may even end up bringing some of that older gen difficulty back that we lost this gen. People look at the game and write it off because they think it's for kids. I'm not saying it's Mario or Crash Bandicoot, but come on — imagine where we'd be if people just wrote off those series because they looked like they're for kids.
Why won't they? KZ4 is the highest pre-ordered exclusive on either console, and it has managed to accomplish that competing with COD and BF4. If you want to talk about at launch, fine, but the system will be sold out at launch so you're still wrong.
@Mohlest
Stop moving the goal posts. Logic didn't say it would sell better. Logic said we might have to redefine which games can be considered system sellers. To that end, take your point about the install bases. Which has the potential to sell more systems: a game releasing on a console with a tiny existing install base and higher potential install base, at the beginning of a console's life cycle and less competition from other titles, or a game releasing on a consol...
The argument is stupid. They are trying to justify their whining by claiming that they don't trust the console manufacturers and need to unbox the unit themselves and play around with it, as if a shady manufacturer couldn't just send a modded console to them in a sealed box.
@AliTheSnake1
It sure seems that way at times.
Excuse me, but did you or did you not bring up AAA games? AAA games are AAA games. I addressed you on both the multiplat front as well as the exclusives front.
You started out trying to take a shot at the PS4 lineup. I countered in detail. Now you claim your too above it to go into a breakdown of your own, but not so above it that you won't waste a few paragraphs explaining that the Xbones games are better because... well... because you say so. Pfft.

Whose taking it personally, besides you? I didn't just assume you belonged to a certain camp. Your statement identified you as such. Where is your real argument that I am supposed to be presenting a counter argument to? You didn't have one. You had a backhanded compliment that got responded to with a lighthearted jab in kind. Suck it up.
I really don't see how anyone can logically disagree with that.
Talk about resolution isn't stupid at all. To borrow from the headline: Is it the whole story? No. Is it important? Yes.
Just remember, The Walking Dead was an indie game. IJS.
Lack of Triple A games?
Alright, let's be real. First off, PS4 has Xbone beat on Triple A multiplats as there is a clear difference between the PS4 versions coming in at some cases with 2.25x the pixels of the Xbox version, and which can be played on a console that is $100 less.
Now, onto the AAA exclusives. You have Killer Instinct, a game that looks like a 360 title SF4 clone where you're paying to unlock the fighters. There's the former Kinec...
Yeah? Well, sorry to break up the biased haters meme your lot has fallen back on in lieu of any real argument.
Just put out some good games already without them needing to do GTA and COD numbers just to make up for their budget and your other failed projects (Next up cloud computing?) Square.
They have comments from developers both on the record and off, yet you choose to cling to a rumor brought about by some disgruntled journalist who isn't even sticking by the rumor anymore.

So why are you lying about something that is right in the article? You did read the article before coming to spread misinformation right? You should be down bubbled into oblivion for being a troll and knowingly spreading a lie, or being such a troll that you didn't bother...
But not too long to reply to. You didn't read it, but many more did. Why are so many people proud to announce they're dumbing it down?
Update: Okay. Bravo sir. You got me with the satire.
