GoW 3 is looking awesome, not that Im surprised. But as much of a Kratos fan that I am, I have to say the recent footage of Bayonetta is giving GoW a serious run for its money. Check it out on GT if you havent already...
I just bought this game a few weeks ago during that $10 BB sale. Its still unopened....think I'll get started.

it does say PS Store update, not a PS3 update per se. The last PS3 update was quite painless for me. I didnt notice any added functionality, but whatevs.
I have already been anticipating Prototype for a long time now, and then Red Faction has to come out left field and possibly be the biggest surprise of the year.

I was about to restart from my last checkpoint, but it felt...wrong. As much as I wanted him to stick around, I liked that the story was so organic, and the consequences so real, that I couldnt do it. I had to just live with it.
Some truly great moments in this game like that, that to me seperates it from almost everything else.

Its quite the looker, and apparently has the best dynamic destruction of any game yet. The GP review was very complimentary.

I DID go to E3 today and play Forza 3. I can personally confirm that it looks every bit as good as you have seen on the net.
