For me personally, I find nothing interesting about Home, but I dont care for Second Life either. BUt it is free, so if peeps out there enjoy it, good for them. and perhaps something will get me to actually check it out in the future, who knows. But I doubt it.
The only reason one of these consoles will "go" is because they introduce a new console to replace it, which is anyone's guess when that will happen.
I have a feeling it will be the Wii first, but who knows? I would think the HD systems have a longer shelf life this time around since many people are still just upgrading to HD in the first place. And those systems I believe both have a lot of juice to squeeze out of them.

We know that the 360 has had some issues, but the numbers have been grossly exaggerated. We also know that it has affected the earlier consoles far more regularly as well. I definitely know people that have had to send theirs in, but its always the peeps who bought it in the first year. Not that that makes the others completely invincible.

The PS3 is a piece of electronics like anything else, and can fail like anything else. No one is saying that its at the level of the 360 debacle, but there is no warranty here either.
I could see this definitely affecting the 60GB models more. My roomie has one, while I have a 40GB model (with 250GB installed), and his is louder and gets pretty hot, while mine is almost whisper quiet and always cool to the touch.

The animation looks especially clean, great color palette. A pretty game artistically. Nothing revolutionary technically, though it would be nitpicking to point anything out.

I agree that Final Fantasy 13 was pretty huge. And as cheesy as it was, Peter Moore revealing his GTA 4 "tattoo" was a pretty big one too.
The times I used Vista it appeared to be a very nice, clean looking GUI. Ran fast enuff on the machine I was using. I set this particular machine up for my gf's parents. Everything seemed to be easy enough to install and what not.

Blu-Ray sales have been picking up as of late, sales of the players at least. I think the writer acknowledges at least that.
I think BR does well with many of the bigger, action packed or IMAX-type releases that warrant a HD display, definitely. I personally own WallE, Dark Knight, and Baraka on BR. And Spidey 3, tho it came with my PS3 (terrible movie!). I also rent BR thru Netflix for the most part.
