OK, of course the PC will run better on higher setting but just how much of that will look better to the average gamer while in gameplay, at least to the point where it is obvious. Will it be significant or minor?
It is a very good and valid opinion.This gen of consoles could barely keep up with the pc the first year of release...At least last gen the 360 and ps3 were able to keep up for a few years. This gen, even though it has some great games for the consoles is a bit disappointing so far.

Nintendo really needs to bring in massive third party support. They do that and put out a system that is at the very least moderately more powerful than the PS4 and X1, they will have a chance. They don't, it will be brick with potential to most. Little more.

All Nintendo has to do is build a system that third party companies want to develop on and pay for a couple of high end exclusives. They can not just rely on their in house games.
yeah, but two of those three games you mentioned are not mainstream games that don't appeal to a broad consumer base that will result in two or three million sold. The only one that will bring in more than two million of the first three you mentioned is Uncharted.

Sony is in the lead and unless MS buys Konami or something huge like that, things won't change. Even with PS4 in the lead the X1 has sold right about 20 million units so far and that isn't chump change. The X1 is doing very well, the PS4 just happens to be doing amazingly well. Good for both of them, but "one sided" only a hack "journalist" would write that garbage.
From what I can gather DX12 will help the system push what it can do more efficiently maybe allowing a little more on screen and possibly increasing the frame rates a little. If that's the case it won't be huge but may be enough to make a difference to those who use it. We shall see.
What tides need to be turned? X1 has sold 20 million plus. PS4 may be in the lead number wise but that doesn't mean the X1 is on life support.
Outside of Bloodborne what other good exclusives did Sony have this past year? Very few and far between.
Since I've only seen a handful of good non indi exclusive on the PS4 I will go with X1. See if that holds up this time next year.
I think a roughly $500 price point would be great, but even if that is the price it comes out at I don't think there will be many adopters.
After not playing for a while I started up again. Still fun. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it yet.
That's fine, with games like Gears 4, Quantum Break and Crackdown 3 it might be a good thing to have this released in 2017.
I prefer consoles, but outside of maybe a few first releases any higher end game recently released or soon to be released will not come close to the stats and performance of a high end pc...How noticeable those differences are, are very debatable though. So far for most games on console (X1, or PS4) have not looked or played too far off from what the high end PC offers... That may change as the gen gets older but so far that's how I see it.
