I think you are reading a little too much into this. I am liking the direction MS is taking big-time! I simply think they haven't decided just how much goes to PC....yet. Not seeing any "damage control" as I am seeing a lot of "feelers" being thrown out there.
......yawn. Whatever you say little boy, whatever you say.
So many good Zelda games, but as far as I am concerned the first one is still the best! A true "Legend"....no pun.
...and Valve is one of the most innovative, respected and lucrative companies in the entire gaming industry. They got that way by innovating and changing the game every so often and rarely staying the course.
Steam didn't redefine consoles though. If the approach is similar and steam helped expand the PC gaming experience why are you against MS doing the same for consoles? Your comment just sounds unwarrantedly bitter toward MS.
MS and the X1 began this gen by handing consumers a bowl of lemons...Now they have turned those lemons into lemonade and lemonade that is getting better and better every month! Let the others drink the Kool-aid! ;)
They will...natural progression of the medium.
I have to disagree. You may be correct with hard core gamers, but the average consumer or young gamer probably has little to no interest in spending close to a grand for a higher end gaming rig. There is an off chance that down the line this move may actually move more systems as PC exclusives start showing up on the X1. No guarantees on that but a possibility.
I am not sure what MS has in mind but if it is even just a "ram pack" for the X1 that will help increase resolution to 1080p and beyond (is this gen of consoles even able to output higher than 1080p?) and frame rates at and beyond 60fps while allowing lighting and particle effects to be pushed to its max, then why not. I am liking the direction MS is taking. What should have been done years ago by all console manufacturers.
Those were the awesome days of gaming when everyone would look in wonder at what a new gen would offer for its games...Now too many complain about on screen pixel count. Just sad.
That makes no sense. Basically every console throughout history is a "pc"... Actually game consoles were the first computers to make their way to homes...So that means a newer PC is just a high end game console.

Oh good, someone else remembers that monstrosity!
Didn't they have do a photo real Street fighter game with the movie version back in the day?
Wow, this game is looking better and better! Gotta say I am a little surprised at just how well this game is looking. If the X1 hardware is "weak" than so be it, I'm fine with "weak"!
This game is just looking better and better! May not be SF but it doesn't have to! This game can stand on its own!
LOL, always a handful of bitter PS4 fanboys that have to crawl into a comment section geared toward X1 and give thumbs down! Hilarious and pathetic!
I know the dev kits for both X1 and PS4 (at least when they were first delivered to studios) have 12 gig of their respective ram each. That could have something to do with it, when they start getting the final version ready for the consoles. Just my guess.
Ok, some lighting and shadows are gone. Still looks good. If I wanted this game those differences would not be enough to keep me from making a purchase. Minor issue.
That's too bad...The game was very nice looking but not very exciting to play. Funny that they would shut the game down altogether being that it was so far along. I wonder if MS has another studio in mind to take the game in another direction.
