Best console in years!
@ andersquall...Stop trolling..So what if the same games comes out for the XS...By your logic lower spec'd gaming pc's are bringing down higher end gaming pcs...Which is not the case in the least. As with PC the games on the X will be at higher graphic settings, higher resolution with better frame rates where the XS will be at lower settings..... Same game, but one will look and preform significantly better, but you knew that already.
Console article Eddie..Also, the equivalent that you get with th X including the 4k Bluray drive is quite a bit cheaper than if you retailed similar specs on a pc for purchase.

I own an X and am enjoying everything it does for games! It is a fantastic console but lets face it, games on the Pro are going to look too....Just a little better on the X ;)
Well, the X is doing a good job of keeping up with pc equivalents...For now at least, so it may not be a true generational lead but it is certainly showing what a well designed console with plenty of muscle can do.
MS gets those blurays at a huge discount due to massive volume of sales.
Sony had the opportunity to deliver a huge bang with the Pro but decided to play it safe to meet a certain price point. The Pro is a good system, no doubt about it...The X just happens to be great...for only $100 more.
Resolution between 1440p and full 4k is difficult to distinguish, but there is still a difference...where the X really shows off is in the higher res textures, better lighting and higher/more stable frame rates. All that combined make a SIGNIFICANT difference even on 1080 displays.
Well, more than just the GPU...The extra ram helps and even the CPU of clocked higher. A truly worthy console.
It might be difficult for MS to lead seven straight months globally since they don't have as much market saturation and brand recognition as Sony. However, that could certainly be the case (or something close to it) in North America. Seven straight for any console is tough to do though...The X will probably surpass what most were expecting. How much so has yet to be seen. Time will tell.
MS has delivered a fantastic option for console gamers who want the best version s of the majority of games out there. The X is also a very good option for those who want preference but don't want to spend the pc price.
It is a new console. Just came out last week.
Black Friday should have some good sales.
This will open the door to other high end First Person Shooters being brought out for the Switch I'm sure....Maybe MS will Trade Master-chief for Zelda for a go around! (That would never happen, I know)
